With a name like Taj Mahal, you know it’s going to be good. Settling for nothing less than perfection, the chefs at this Telford Indian restaurant bring years of experience from Manchester’s famous Curry Mile all the way to Wellington. Situated in a lovely old building on the corner of Bridge Road and Walker Street, Taj Mahal is easy to spot. Chef’s specials like the chicken kashmiri, fish karahi and lamb roasty (spring lamb on the bone roasted in a traditional Punjabi fashion ) are what have diners coming back again and again – reserve a table in advance to beat the rush!
Warm welcome, staff very attentive but not over intrusive. Good choice of food, which was very tasty, good portion size and good value for money. The only negative is that it was very bright and may benefit from lights being dimmed.
Great food, it was a busy night so there was a bit of a wait for everything. Surprised when the bill came - drinks were pricey
Great place to visit We go around 2-3 times every month
