Always a great meal and great service. We travel 26 miles to get here and it's always a pleasure. This evening was even better with the Valentine's decorations and a rose for my lady at the end of the meal.

Having arrived 5 minutes after our booking time we were told that our table was still not available and we should wait at by the entrance (not even a mention of offering us a drink). In the meantime 2 groups of people who had bookings for a later time than ours were given tables. After 15 minutes of waiting for a table of 2 to finish their meals and be rushed through paying their bill which we felt extremely uncomfortable about we decided we would be better served heading elsewhere.

The food, the staff, the restaurant. Everything is always top drawer here. Thanks for a lovely evening. And a great touch with a red rose for the lady in Valentine's day.

Food average, customer service atrocious. We booked a table for 8pm, arrived on time to be told that our table wasn’t ready. We were asked to wait outside whilst the staff made absolutely no effort to free up a table for us, having overbooked. We waited for 25 minutes before having to ask for a drink. We expected to at least be offered a free drink, but the waiter told us that these drinks would be free and that he’d ‘do something about the bill’. Over an hour later, a table was finally ready for us. Once seated, the food came fairly quickly, but we still only received our mains an hour and a half after our booking time. The food itself was not bad, but definitely not worth the hassle! The bill arrived, with the full price. We queried this with the waiter, who took the bill away and removed 10% off it. Again, this was not nearly enough to make up for us being left outside for an hour. When we tried to politely explain this to the staff, they got incredibly defensive, citing how busy the restaurant was, that they have to pay wages etc. We understood, but it was completely the restaurants fault that they were in this situation. As soon as we begun to query the bill further, the staff became very hostile and threatened to call the police. We ended up with an insignificant reduction to our bill and left thoroughly dissatisfied. We tried to reason with the staff but they clearly just wanted to pack as many tables in regardless of whether the tables were booked or not, and then bully customers into paying the whole bill, whether the restaurant deserved it or not. I can’t understand why a restaurant would treat its customers like this, and we definitely will not be returning.

Tasty food, nice waiters. Good value, meal for one in particular is a lot of food for only &15! It was empty on a Wednesday evening though so not one for mid week atmosphere.
