Kendal is well known as the gateway to Windermere and the beautiful Lake District. What is yet to be as well known is that the southern edge of Kendal Town Centre is also a gateway to the flavours of the Mediterranean. The reason for this is Terrazzo, a fabulous restaurant with – unsurprisingly – a fabulous outdoor terrace seating area, started by a group of catering professionals who previously supplied delicious food for some of Northern England’s finest corporate events and highest profile weddings. Those of us without invites to such events couldn’t be happier that Terrazzo now has a permanent home in K Village on Lound Road, meaning their first-rate Mediterranean fare is on offer any time you need, breakfast, lunch or dinner. The emphasis at Terrazzo is on communal, sociable, shared dining, so it’s great for get-togethers and large groups, though even for smaller parties it’s always best to book ahead just in case.
Definitely recommend Terrazzo, their food is amazing and the staff always friendly and very helpful. They do an extensive range of gluten and dairy free foods and the cake range is the best we've had.
Always great service, friendly staff and good food. During the day the homemade cakes are amazing ! I had a steak which was very nice and the sticky toffee pudding is delicious.
Excellent service & choice of food , with warm welcoming ambiance. We are regular visitors & look forward to our next visit. Thank you to all the staff :-)
We had the Tapas deal (3 tapas & glass wine £10) Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, spotlessly clean and extremely polite, helpful staff. Can’t praise highly enough!
Absolutely brilliant.....we got a lovely welcome by the staff....the food was lovely ..plenty of choice...perfectly cooked...and that little bit different than you get anywhere else....the staff couldn't do enough for us...we will certainly be back....A little sad that it was very quiet but the reason for this is it does not have any passing trade..
Easy to make reservation. As always the food and service at Terrazzo were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely relaxing evening.
Pleasant ambiance, good tapas and friendly service. The special should have been fish and chips but that had sold out - our table was booked for 7pm. The staff started cleaning the premises using polish which was not pleasant smelling so we did not stay for a sweet or drinks. This is a lovely restaurant with good quality food and with a little bit of attention could be a lovely place for an evening with friends.
Tapas Thursday fantastic. 3 x tapas and a glass of wine for a tenner. Good value and delicious too. Chorizo in red wine particularly tasty!! We had a lovely evening, good friendly service, well cooked food and good quality house wine. We'll be back there for this treat.
Great food and a good offer on for March - 2 main courses and a bottle of wine for £30 and I have to say the sauvignon blanc was the best I have ever tasted. Staff are lovely, attentive but not overly so. All in all a loving evening enjoyed, thank you.
