Really lovely food and very quick service. Good value for money, I would definitely recommend to those wanting quality pub food. Nice friendly atmosphere too.

Good food and service in a nice atmosphere. The food here tends to vary in quality, but it is certainly good at the moment. Will certainly come again.

Amazing food, but it was a shame that the kitchen closed before we managed to order dessert (having said that we were 20 mins late, so probably our own fault)!.

Nice pub, good atmosphere but was no vegetarian option for the roast and the suggested alternative was just potatoes, veg and gravy. Service was good but staff seemed quite stretched

Amazong Subday Roast. It was our first time on a Sunday and it was really nice. Lovely atmosphere and staff. I highly recommend this place!

Food was delicious, although the fish a little dry (good quality, a little too long on the fire). Perfect place to be. A typical British pub with better than averse food.

Dark and dingy and very pokey. Also when we arrived the gas was not working so could only have a roast of fish and chips. Would have been nice if we had been telephoned before we arrived and told this. We decided not to stay as this was a birthday meal for our son and felt anything but special. Very disappointed

Good food and drink and atmos. Too much Muzak as has table under speakers. I like the battered cod but why not offer mushy peas proper and not the pointless more difficult to make, mashed ordinary peas.

Wouldn't go back for the roast dinner, normally food is great, tasted like a ready meal. Service was OK, waitress took complaint and offered a free dessert, which was OK, a power tool would have been good though to cut the biscuit base on the banoffe!

Amazing food, good service and lovely atmosphere with the warm fire, although they had no ice cream due to freezer issues so the dessert menu was somewhat limited as a result. The menu is somewhat expensive for what it is though and had I not had a 50% voucher, I probably would not have gone on this occasion. Having said that, I do think that it is great that the whole 'three cheers' chain offered 50% off vouchers for January at their pubs.

Perhaps it was the last night for the 50% voucher scheme or more improbably the football which made it a very bustling and crowded evening! The food was reasonable without being exceptional. The whitebait starter left a rather unsavoury aftertaste lasting until morning and the mushy peas with the beer battered cod were rather too iridescent and lacking in taste. Personally I did not enjoy the food as much as at The Avalon and wished that I had tried The Rosendale instead.

Great service and food! My friend had some specific dietary requirements that they have dealt with very well and even cooked her a bespoke meal.

Lovely pub but quite rammed in at the back for dinner. Sunday dinner was yummy too. They welcomed my dogs which was lovely and gave them a bowl of water, but I had booked asking for more room for them and instead ended up packed between quite a few tables and a gangway having to move the dogs every time a waiter picked up some dinners.

Cosy neighbourhood gastro with nice mixed crowd. Excellent food. Sunday roast is top class. Good service. Decent value. Wine list has good options by the glass or carafe. Lots of nooks and crannies so it feels private even when it's buzzy.

Usually I love this place but the food was average and the staff were not as friendly as usual. I would probably only come back in the evening, lunch was a bit disappointing.

The Abbeville food is usually great, however on this occasion it was quite good. The burgers are always good and they didn't disappoint. However we had to send one starter back of chicken liver pate as that wasn't up to par & the ribs were extremely salty. The service was efficient & helpful.

Main courses were all great, dessert was poor (the gateau was like mousse) and the service, very lacklustre and our server looked downright miserable. So, it was OK, but won't go back.

The service was not brilliant, as the pub gets very busy on Sundays. But food very good - I'd recommend the roast chicken and crumble dessert!

Great local restaurant atmosphere, good food, and interesting, quite long wine list. I made the boring choice of a burger, but it was excellent, as were the chips. Service was a little slow, but only because the place was packed because they had a special January offer on food, as do all the pubs in the group.

Had sirloin steaks which weren't very good, rather stringy and fatty. Think maybe they've changed their suppliers as they were always very good in the past. Service was excellent.

Sunday Roast -Not yet in my top five for roasts in south London -not far off though: reasonable job, pleasant staff, £14 all trimmings which is a lot of money so e.g. thought the apple puree (not sauce) at bottom of bowl disappeared and was a tad stingy on portion- flavour blended into gravy so a bit pointless and disappointing. Why my partner prefers plates not wide bowls, which was his niggle, everything gravitates downwards into one mess- thankfully no boards lol) To be picky - offer horseradish or mustard for beef eaters please rather than customer has to chase the busy staff as they pass by. Good marks for Yorkshire pud and the roast pots though a bit generically salty it had a 'herby' outside which worked well. It's a very popular, in a good area, local so always book! Children and dog friendly.

The service was friendly and efficient as always. As a non-fish eater I do sometimes struggle with main course choices on the menu and it would be really nice to see a chicken dish on there too. Overall I really enjoyed my food and experience and would recommend it.
