The Abbeville

We had a lovely lazy lunch on Saturday, looked after by our charming waiter Dominic who really made sure we had everything we needed. The Abbeville has such a cozy laid back feel, we were sat next to the fire which Dominic turned on for us, and I almost fell asleep with my glass of wine I was that relaxed!! It's like being in your own living room but with someone else cooking you amazing food and then doing the washing up! What more could you ask for? I love this place, always coming back for more. You won't be disappointed Xx

Friendly staff. Delicious Sunday lunch. Huge Yorkshire pudding and beautiful beef. No problem accommodating our dog. The Abbeville is obviously very popular and we can fully understand why.

Service was efficient, speedy and friendly. Lunch was great, hot, fresh and just as a Sunday roast should be. Only slight complaint was that the table for 2 behind us was so close, that several times the chairs were knocking together back to back.

Food was delicious. Service was fantastic. Only reason for not receiving full marks is that one of our desserts came without being cooked! Resolved quickly however

I've been here many times and it is always fantastic service, great food, and a cosy welcoming atmosphere. One of my favourite places to eat in Clapham.

The roast was a little overpriced for what it was sadly. "All the trimmings" included 2 potatoes and a few veggies, not quite what i was expecting for the cost. The meat was delicious, very good quality and cooked well. Plates needed to be warmer to jeep the food hot, it was warm when it came to us and cooled very quickly.

Always an absolute pleasure to visit , friendly, great food atmosphere etc etc bar area a bit too small as my only reservation thank you very much

Really busy and service reflected that, but the food was really good. FYI they do a veggie Sunday roast that isn't a nut roast which is a definite bonus!

Always excellent food and a menu that is varied and interesting. Couldn't ask for a better local pub - although pub doesn't really do it justice!

A faultless Sunday lunch experience in every way - food, service, price, atmosphere all great. Dog friendly too. Will be back as soon as possible.

Nice atmosphere and good value but the food is definitely nothing to write home about but. Overall wasn't a bad experience and will probably be back.

Always good food! Great service. A top local that can't be beaten. Had the ribs tonight - huge portion! Good wine and great company. Never disappoints

Great atmosphere and service Lovely meaty roasts although the veg option used to be a delicious pie and this has been changed to a stuffed squash which isn't half as nice.... please change it back 🙏🏻

Great as always! Perfect roast and burgers with plenty of gravy! All the staff are really friendly and efficient! We will always come back for a Sunday roast!

Came for a catch up with one of the girls, always good service and always a varied selection on the menu. So far I have never had any negative.

Fantastic food service and venue can't fault it. Booking was a must as it was rammed - always a good sign! Would definitely recommend it 😃😃

Lovely little pub off clapham cpmmon food of a high standard and really nice apart from being cold. Would recommend the beef and to book before visiting.

Great friendly service with food to match. Third time I've been and never been disappointed. More of a restaurant than a pub but they do show the football which is always a plus!

We were a group of 5 sat on a table for 4 and it was very tight and quite uncomfortable, particularly for my mum. The food was ok, lacking in veg and the beef was very thin and not that tender. Compare to other pubs near by it was average and think we will give it a miss next time.

Always enjoy the Avalon, perfect place for the girls to catch up and have dinner. Good selection of wines. Will remain a regular as always consistent.

Came here with the girls for one of our catch ups. We really enjoy the pubs in this group and have yet to have a bad meal.

Poor service. Slow and had to ask multiple times for drinks/condiments etc. Sunday roast was ok but nothing special, there are better pubs in the area.

I love The Abbeville! Have been coming here for years and have always had a fab time with fab service! One of my London favorites!

Too many dogs around for my liking. Staff stroking people's dogs then serving food without washing hands. Can't understand why a food establishment would allow ten dogs at one sitting. Too much for my liking.

Very good service and tasty food in a cosy setting. However, one of the orders asked for sauce on the side and the meal arrived with sauce on. That would the only complaint,

Nice friendly pub in a quiet residential road with good parking facilities (after 6pm). Good food and service and good value for money.Will go there again

We requested the Christmas menu like we had last year and got there to be told that we hadn't. We expected crackers and party hats but it was just a normal evening. The food also took quite a while and the table was uneven and we had to sort it ourselves. We probably won't be going back next year for a third Christmas.

ALways a great meal at the Abbeville! Food is brilliant, staff are lovely and I love the cosy feel of the pub! A favourite for sure!

Not seated in the best position as someone was already on the table that was reserved for us. But the staff were very friendly and food and wine were delicious

Great food and great cosy feel to the pub. Was fairly busy even for a Tuesday which gave it a nice atmosphere. Tables are quite close together but was nice.

Lovely warm pub with a cosy fire and delicious food. They catered for meat eaters through to vegans and allowed our puppy to join us for dinner!

Staff were friendly, food was nice and pub was cosy. It had a very bizarre layout though. Dog friendly too, they gave us a water bowl :)

It remains one of my favourite restaurants but service was pretty poor on this night - table not laid, having to to ask three times to order wine and then food, having to ask for cutlery and then salt, pepper and water.

Excellent Sunday roast; recommend roast beef. Friendly staff who were so helpful and a nice cosy traditional pub in the heart of London. Well priced.

Great place. Big portion and very tasty. The waiter was very nice too, he even fed our little girl while we ate :) will be returning again.

Staff very attentive. Food good although smallish number of dishes on menu. Pudding (crumble) not as hot as could have been. Overall a good night out though. Will go again.

A nice gastropub with a good range of dishes on the menu, and daily blackboard specials. The fish and chips was lovely - good fresh fish, and really delicious chips! I would like to return to try other things. Check it out!

Friendly service and great roast. Cosy warm atmosphere. Sport playing for those interested. Love that you can bring your dog too. A local favourite for sure!

Great atmosphere, great waiters, great food! Will definitely go again. The only thing that could be improved would be the ribs which were quite fatty. The beef brisket croquettes were delicious.

A great meal as always. We have lived for 10 years locally and the Abbeville is the best pub to eat (and drink) in for miles around.
