A fantastic chef with an amazing staff. Cocktails are superb and food even better

What an amazing find. We have been here a few times now and the food and service were excellent and reasonably priced for the high quality of fresh home made food. Hope it becomes very very popular, because it certainly deserves to be so.

Mother’s Day with the family. People were walking out. Customers were arguing with the management because the service was so slow and lack of communication from the waiting staff didn’t help. They took orders but then nothing arrived. I threatened to walk out 3 times b4 food arrived after waiting for nearly "2 1/2 hrs!!" Other people wernt so patient and had already left. When the food did arrive it was missing gravy, sides, sauces etc and although we highlighted this they never turned up. Everyone was fed up by this time and lost their appetite. They also tried to charge for stuff we hadn't had. All that was on the menue was roasts it shouldn't have been that hard to prepare for but they were un organised and arguing with each other. We got no apologise for the service, no one from management seemed to be taking control.

Waited an hour and a half for just out main meal. Then had to ask three times for the bill!

Just had Sunday lunch at The Aviary Loughton. Whilst it might not be the cheapest in the area, it is certainly the best Sunday roast I have ever eaten.

Very slow service even though there were only two other tables dining. The atmosphere was dead on a Saturday evening. Two drinks I requested were unavailable. The lobster was way too salty and the steak chewy. Was very disappointed and won’t be going back unfortunately.

Enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. It’s quite dark in there so difficult to see what you’re eating. Will definitely go back.

We had a great experience at The Aviary in Loughton. It was busy with a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Our server was attentive and absolutely amazing — we really felt well looked after. We weren’t rushed at all, which gave the whole visit a relaxed and enjoyable feel. The food was fantastic, and we genuinely enjoyed every part of our meal. It’s clear this is a family-run business, and you can feel the care that goes into everything. Definitely worth a visit!

Such a lovely restaurant and always fabulous food. A bit of a shame today that when booking no one said it was a roast only set menu, the roast was delicious but would have liked to have been told.

I went with my two friends who always have lunch in Loughton eatery every Saturday. I suggested Aviary to try. On entering I was well greeted and showed me to my seating The restaurant ambient was relaxing and the sitting arrangements was very comfortable We ordered the Liver, Fish and Slow cooked Belly Pork. Food tasted excellent and the portion was pretty good for the price.

I enjoyed my experience, very tasty food, lovely service and great atmosphere.

The restaurant was closed. So we drove 30 mins for nothing.

The food was wonderful. The ambience was lovely as were the staff. I think the restaurant should have asked us pre-order as a party of six in a lunchtime the wait was long but well worth it for fresh cooked on demand food.
