When the craving for a delicious plate of hot mezze, succulent shawarma or something from the traditional charcoal grill come along, there’s no better choice in Gosforth than The Bake One. This cosy restaurant along the High Street specialises in traditional Lebanese dishes that will leave you more than satisfied, that’s for sure. This charming Middle Eastern spot is also home to some pretty delectable sweets and classic pastries just begging to be sampled after you indulge in one of their tasty mains. Located just north of the centre of Newcastle, The Bake One is certainly worth the trip, just be sure to book in advance as they do tend to fill up quickly.
Great atmosphere, great quality food and variety, not my first visit and certainly won't be my last. Staff are always friendly and courteous but never pushy
Top quality food, great service, loved every dish they brought to out table. Staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely come back!
First visit we went for lunch. Great choice and service excellent. Friendly people who made our visit enjoyable provided a complimentary pudding that was delicious. I will be going back for sure 👍
Attentive staff, fast service, delicious food and family friendly. The whole family enjoyed it aged between 4 and 40. We will be back. Take your own alcohol if you want and very reasonably priced.
Having previously only had takeaways from The Bake One this was my first dining in experience. The food was both healthy and amazing, the staff really helpful and attentive and we had a great experience. In future i will know to bring my own wine! :-)
Fantastic food and service as always. Went for the bake mixed grill. Very filling my girlfriend had the chicken shawarma wrap. Had complementary pudding and tea at the end of the meal. Top drawer.
Great busy restaurant with open kitchen, service was good not in your face and we got a complimentary desert which was a lovely touch! We will definitely be returning 👍🏻
Great food, good atmosphere, very good service and very good value! Well worth the effort to get there. Take your own wine, so you're not paying the usual huge markup.
Good choice of vegetarian options, and food was served quickly . Staff were attentive, food was hot, and the bill was happily split between a number of diners.
Music a bit loud, but food was good (highly recommend the flatbread, hummus and the moussaka) and service excellent. Would go again if not for me living 40 miles away in Darlington.
