The Bell Inn, Hampton, is yet another jewel in the crown for Authentic Pub Co., who own and operate five gastropubs in picturesque outlying London boroughs. The Bell Inn is notable for being listed as one of the top 50 gastropubs in the UK, but such praise is unsurprising for an establishment that takes such care to ensure that guests are made welcome and provided with only the finest British food and drink. With such service, and a prime location down Thames Street, the Bell Inn is popular amongst those looking for a special venue to host a private event – their function room has its own bar and a south-facing balcony overlooking the Thames.
It’s undoubtedly the food that has attracted so much attention to The Bell Inn, whose refurbished premises down Thames Street are to be found backing onto the Thames in the gorgeous southwest London town of Hampton. Their dedicated butcher, Bentley’s of Surrey, ensures that the meat and poultry that makes its way into The Bell Inn’s delicious dishes is as fresh as can be, and traceable back to its local source. Orpington’s Watts Farm, a family affair, keep The Bell Inn’s kitchen supplied with the freshest fruit and vegetables, 80% of which is grown on their farm. M & J Seafood provide the fish, while The Bell Inn’s enviable cheese platters use the best rounds from Hampton’s specialists The Cheese & Wine Company.
