Amazing authentic pubfood with live music on Saturday night in a very friendly atmosphere. Convenient parking at rear Reasonable prices. Dog friendly and well situated: best Thames riviera views from the balcony.
Lovely pub with great food, awesome Sunday roast, great service, scrummy puddings & good range of wines & beers! Kids menu is good & friendly cosy atmosphere, just across from the river & 5mins from bushy park.
Good atmosphere, good food. Waiting staff also good and live music from Sacha Morgan was the icing on the cake It was an enjoyable evening.
Food and service excellent. However the toilets were appalling. If they were seen by an EHO the place would have been closed in an instant
Luke warm food, the wrong dinner arrived (which we had been told was sold out as well as four other dishes) and we were then told that the correct dinner would take a while to arrive (!). We then had two wrong bills. No one came to see that everything was OK - they asked at the end however!
Amazing pub, loved the food, just a shame they had run out of roasts by 5pm on a Sunday! Apart from that can't fault it!
The food was delicious, we had the nachos to start followed by the halloumi kebab and the duck burger. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Overall great pub, food is fantastic, lovely location and atmosphere. Service was a little slow but staff are pleasant & helpful. Only downfall is the toilets are far too small & not very clean.
Staff do seem under pressure. Feel you have to make sure you are not forgotten. Food is always good, we had a 50%off food voucher to use which is why we went.
Great Pub, food was amazing, service was good and atmosphere was lively! Would highly recommend this Pub, we had a pram and were well accommodated. Only criticism would be the toilets, they are tiny and not clean at all.
A last moment decision to visit the Bell for dinner. Booking via Quandoo was simple, got a table within the hour. The pub is friendly, the staff very helpful and the food was extremely nice, and came in generous portions. Mexican sharing platter (Nachos) and the Pie of the Day (beef) were excellent. No room for desserts! We'll be back.
Food was great and the atmosphere was as it should be .. A Pub with all going for it Great views of the River Thames as you eat Well worth a visit
Sat night. Ran out of prosecco, lamb, pie of the day, chicken and some steaks. Hardly any food choices left. Also asked to choose dessert before we'd eaten main as the kitchen wanted to close! Very disappointing.
Great food as always & very accommodating to our big group including children & dogs! Would recommend the meatballs & papardelle and the sticky toffee pudding is always a winner!
The ambiance was lovely. Good cafe au lait even though they weren't sure what this is. The main course was a bit disappointing; the stew was a bit thin and watery.
Nice food but service is very slow. Had to go to bar 3 times to finally get the bill. Need more staff but a nice pub.
The staff were friendly and helpful but I found the food underwhelming. The plates for sharing as a starter were pretty average and the chicken I ordered for main was rather rubbery and tough, lacking in flavour and the meat content was sparse. I struggled to detect the piri piri marinade and the straw chips were a bit lack lustre. The chunky coleslaw was nice but it barely amounted to a dessert spoonful. The sweet potato chips my friends had were significantly tastier - that seemed to be the default carb offering, judging from the plates of food being served around us. Nice atmosphere but I expected better from the food.
Great food, value and service. Lovely pub and outside seating area. Good menu with wholesome high quality food. Drinks reasonably priced. Highly recommended to everyone.
Very noisy, probably because of lack of carpets and curtains. Somewhat slow service - but it WAS Bank Holiday Monday - and someone had forgotten to put the egg in the egg salad! But the food overall was good, and the beer (real ale) too. I think it deserves a four.
Great food and service. They have a really varied menu, and all cooked from fresh ingredients. ( Try the peri peri spatchcock chicken, delicious ) I will definitely be back again.
Slow service. Not many staff around , and generally did not look happy to be there. Such a shame.
Really friendly and pleasant service. Two things - maybe tell people when they book that there will be live (and LOUD) music. and teach the stuff how to make irish coffee !
Attentive and friendly staff. Good food. Pleasant dining area inside and private, attractive area outside.
The front staff were friendly and cooperative but it was very disappointing to find some options on menu were finished and on one starter the pancakes were gone and we given tortillas instead. We were also told there would've a 45 min wait for food as they had a rush on! As we had booked in advance we could have preordered our meal Abd all the above could have been avoided. After I complained we were given 25per cent off the bill. I would rather have had the correct menu and no delay!
Really helpful even when at last moment we had to change what we are . Husband had his birthday here last Christmas and the staff were amazing even at the most busiest last Saturday before Christmas
Great for a family Sunday lunch or relaxed lunch with friends. Food was good with something for everyone, portions were generous, staff were helpful and polite.
Very nice meal, good service and good wine list. A table in the window gives a view of the Thames
Food normally excellent although today's Sunday roast was a little disappointing as the lamb and beef were very tough and full of gristle. Hoping it was a one off as normally I have nothing bad to say.
Had Sunday lunch here many times, the food is always good and the service to, and at a reasonable price. will definitely go back again.
Great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. One of our favourite places to eat, especially the roasts on a Sunday.
Very slow sevice we waited so long for our food we had to rush to eat it!
Had Sunday lunch there today and was great. Huge servings and food all delicious.
Lovely evening staff very friendly food delicious would Definatly return
Great food with a broad range of choices on the menu which change pretty frequently. Wine selection is good and prices reasonable. Atmosphere is great whether for a date night or family meal. Service is friendly but at times feels a little too stretched due to lack of people working.
Great food with a wide choice on the menu. Very helpful staff who were also very attentive. Will be back again for sure. Top marks!
Good food - with a good variety of dishes, including veggie, friendly service, lively atmosphere (!). Great to have it as my local - walking distance from home.
We live locally and can always count on The Bell for good food. The only downside is the lack of staff so the service is on the slow side, but, they are very friendly.
Apart from the serving staff who were very pleasant, but very few in number for the number of customers. The meal itself was extremely disappointing. Again, the staff were fighting a losing battle in terms of serving due to the limited number being used.thus the service was very slow.
Good family lunch. Nice to visit the Riverside across the road
Sunday lunch visit. We had good quality food, puddings big enough to share! Friendly staff. Overall a nice lunch experience that we will definitely be repeating.
