There’s nowhere else in town offering food like The Bite, an authentic Italian restaurant with a modern vibe slotting in neatly to the clutch of eateries clustered around Dalston Junction. Gone are the white and red chequered tablecloths and wall-mounted stock photos of Naples that typify your usual ‘authentic’ London trattoria or ristorante, in is a menu that retains classics like proper Neapolitan pizza, antipasti, pasta and risotto, hearty main courses, desserts and drinks, and in is a vibe that’s pure contemporary London E8. We can’t stop salivating over the antipasti board for two loaded with prosciutto ham, spianata with Calabrese ham, Napoli salami, gorgonzola, Asiago cheese, and fresh bread baked in house. We had one each and then tucked into a pizza pie made from dough that’s been left to think about life for at least 48 hours. A perfect Italian experience on Kingsland Road.

Excellent food - cocktail - service - worth a visit
Welcoming staff. Very good pizzas (we had vegetarian ones), good green and mixed salads, cranberry juice perfect drink and the red wine we chose went down well. If you find your pizzas are too much to eat at one go, you can take the rest home as we did.
A pleasant experience. Service friendly and prompt. Very good value
