Had the Sunday roast lunch - chose the chicken option . The chicken and roast potatoes were lovely but everything else very disappointing. Greasy Yorkshire puddings , runny sweet potato etc. A British ‘standard’ - this isn't hard to get right

Unfortunately the website menu is out of date so our choices were not available at the venue. However what we did order was very good and we would go again.

We dined here twice . Once for dinner and again the next morning for breakfast. On both occasions we were not asked if we had any food allergies.

First visit for Many Years Staff were very Helpful as my Wife is Vegi but eats Fish and the choice wasn't good. But the Two Staff went completely out there way which we Thank them For we will certainly go Back. I had Sunday Roast Absolutely Beautiful.

It was great food as usual, and the staff were lovely.

Beautiful food, only issue was for me is the fact that all my food had yoghurt/mayonnaise or whatever on it, I have issues with dairy products so this amount was to rich for me, the dessert was far to rich and far to big for one person

It's was OK, the staff were cheerful, We were disappointed that the roast beef, wasn't actually roasted beef,but a thin sirloin steak, it doesn't taste like roast beef, Understand why they do it,but better to run a shorter schedule for the Sunday Roast option, and serve a piece of roasted meat, then take the roast off once sold, and have pie, other specials to fill the gap Wouldn't go back

We visited the Black Bull on a recommendation from friends for breakfast and we were not disappointed. We both had the full English which was delicious. Full of flavour and fresh, with 2 fantastic good-sized coffees. The waitress was lovely and very helpful. We will definately return

Fantastic modern take on a sunday roast. We had the beef which was excellent. Tiramisu for dessert was very tasty.

BEef a little tough. My companion requested well done beef but it was still pink. Plates far too small. Gravy didn't taste of much. Nice cabbage and roast potatoes . Mashed sweet potatoes have no place on a Sunday lunch!

Best Sunday dinner by far, lamb and vegetables absolutely perfect!

Lovely tapas menu, tempura prawns were stunning, Actually everything was delicious, nice restaurant and very friendly attentive staff , Thoroughly recommend.

Enjoyed the food and real ale, but the ladies' toilets need a refurb, starting with a deep clean.

Celebrating a birthday on a cold wet March evening. When shown to our table we felt a little cold and after my husband adjusted the radiator valve we felt relief that the radiator warmed. Unfortunately this lasted for only 20 mins. Had a nice steak but the lettuce was loaded with far too much blue cheese and the chips were very salty. We were glad of the complementary water The onion rings lacked onion, like eating 99% batter. Nice beer and wine and good coffee. Good service.

This was our first time eating here and the good was amazing. Perfect portion size and great value. We fell lucky that there was also a short play on and a band practising in the dining area which was fantastic!! I have already made a date to return.

Lovely food as usual staff friendly and polite think it needs a bit of a revamp now though as we had to swop chairs as dirty
