History and the best of English cooking combine to bring you an excellent dining experience at The Black Robin, a traditional Kentish restaurant and pub down Covet Lane. Established way back in 1740, this restaurant offers guests a blast from the past, and opening hours every day of the week make it ideal for just about any occasion. This local legend also serves up tasty stone-fired pizzas that are some of the finest in the Elham Valley. Whatever you decide on, you can count on some great food made with excellent ingredients. Book ahead to beat the crowd.
The service was good and there was an interesting menu to choose from. The meal that I chose was tasty and was just the right size for lunch. To top it all there was cosy open fire
The food was very good and reasonably priced the service was great. The dining area was very roomy the wood burner was nice and warm. Would recommend paying them a visit.
Food, staff, atmosphere were all excellent. The only thing that might have spoiled our experience (not the Black Robin's fault) was that our online booking had not been received by them, even though we had received a confirmation email from Quandoo. They were fully booked and no tables available so it would have been a disaster had it not been a beautiful sunny and warm day so we were able to sit at a table outside and be served our lunch there. The online booking service clearly needs attention!
