Good choice of food and a selection of drinks at a reasonable price. Nice atmosphere aswell and the staff are very helpful without being overly pushy. The building itself is full of character.

Very disappointed, dark dingy and dated pub. Only one couple in on a Sunday dinnertime. .. should have taken the hint then. Kept waiting for ages between each course and food was below average. Young girl waiting on was very pleasant and enthusiastic which is a shame. Will not be going back nor recommending to any family or friends.

Great food, good location and extremely good service. The host was most welcoming and friendly. Hunters chicken was absolutely delicious and the chips, however they were prepared were very tasty!

Went to the Brit as a "spur of the moment" Birthday treat for myself. booked a table for 3 online virtually instantly. The food was lovely, and the service, both at the bar and the table, was spot on. One of the most pleasant couple of hours out I've spent for a long time. We will definitely be back at The Brit very soon!

Food was poor and overpriced. Wondered why it was easy to get a table at shot.notice but soon found out ! An experience not to be repeated.

The staff were extremely nice but the standard was not what we are used to. We do not live close by and had made a special journey to eat in this establishment which made the experience even more disappointing. It took 1 hour for the starters to arrive and an hour and a half for the main courses to arrive. When the starters did arrive the black pudding option was fine, however when ordered as part of the tapas , that a couple of the party ordered, including my husband, whose 50th birthday we were celebrating along with Mothers Day, they were solid and so hard that they couldn't be eaten. He was brought a replacement, which was better but this time the chicken was still over cooked and hard. This was particularly disappointing as we have ordered this dish before and it has been very good. Before ordering any sweets we asked how long they would be and were reassured they would only take 5 to 10 minutes, 20 minutes plus they arrived and they were ok. Unfortunately, at this point, I do not think we will be returning to dine there again.

I went on a Friday at 5pm with a friend. Rump and sirloin steaks were half price but needed to have been pre-order, which we hadn't but the manager said we could have them at that rate if we chose them. We didn't pick them as the menu had a great variety. I went for the salmon and new potatoes and my friend had the piri piri chicken skewers. Both our meals came exceptionally presented and we're both delicious; we both cleared our plates. The manager came over a couple of times to refresh our drinks. Both the food and service were excellent and will definitely be returning. Well done Britannia.
