Bit of a wait for food, and wasn't busy. Food was very good though. Was overcharged on bill but they rectified, overall not bad.

The food was lovely.. the service was a bit laid back but the decor is great and it was nice & warm bearing in mind it was frosty outside.

Our food took a little while longer than might have been expected at 3pm - we enjoyed what we ate - the staff were pleasant and helpful - but the ambiance was rather cold/austere (for us)

Great Sunday roast with everything cooked as I like. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Good overall was hot delicious (we all opted for Sunday roasts) the dinners were tasty. We did wait a whole hour before reviewing our meal though and didn’t opt for desserts as felt they were pricey

Lovely place, really great young man served us and the food was good too. It was very very quite but we still waiting a pretty long time for our food to be served.

Food was excellent, service was really poor. The staff were often getting things wrong, forgetting parts of the order and not very professional. This is the third time we’ve been in the last two months and I am more disappointed each time we visit. Can’t fault the food, 5* food!

Nice food but service very slow, the meal would have been better if not swimming in gravy, perhaps send gravy out in a jug or a boat would be better.

Food was average. The service was very slow we waited over an hour for our food. Didn't bother with desert as didn't know how long we would have to wait.

The food was good although there was a pretty long wait for dessert. We were offered a free coffee which we accepted, but then waited a further 20mins just to get the bill. However the atmosphere was very nice & the staff friendly & accommodating.

The bull is a lovely pub. Fresh cooked food and lovely atmosphere. The service can sometimes be a little slow, but the food makes up for it 😌

Overall a relaxing and good atmosphere. Excellent professional and polite staff. Menu had changed since last visit. Excellent venison pie, all food well cooked and presented well. Wild mushroom starter was in fact button mushrooms. Apple and BlackBerry crumble tart replaced the blueberry and appl crumble . The tart element I think spoilt the excellent crumble, but probably down to personal taste. No custard anymore.

Unfortunately we got forgotten about too many times, so disappointed
