Very warm, comfortable and friendly. Good food. Good meeting place for a catch up with a friend.

Great Sunday roast with everything cooked as I like. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Good overall was hot delicious (we all opted for Sunday roasts) the dinners were tasty. We did wait a whole hour before reviewing our meal though and didn’t opt for desserts as felt they were pricey

Lovely country pub. Clean and tidy. Nice food from light bite menu.

Lovely place, really great young man served us and the food was good too. It was very very quite but we still waiting a pretty long time for our food to be served.

Food was excellent, service was really poor. The staff were often getting things wrong, forgetting parts of the order and not very professional. This is the third time we’ve been in the last two months and I am more disappointed each time we visit. Can’t fault the food, 5* food!

Nice food but service very slow, the meal would have been better if not swimming in gravy, perhaps send gravy out in a jug or a boat would be better.

Food was average. The service was very slow we waited over an hour for our food. Didn't bother with desert as didn't know how long we would have to wait.

The food was good although there was a pretty long wait for dessert. We were offered a free coffee which we accepted, but then waited a further 20mins just to get the bill. However the atmosphere was very nice & the staff friendly & accommodating.

The bull is a lovely pub. Fresh cooked food and lovely atmosphere. The service can sometimes be a little slow, but the food makes up for it 😌

Overall a relaxing and good atmosphere. Excellent professional and polite staff. Menu had changed since last visit. Excellent venison pie, all food well cooked and presented well. Wild mushroom starter was in fact button mushrooms. Apple and BlackBerry crumble tart replaced the blueberry and appl crumble . The tart element I think spoilt the excellent crumble, but probably down to personal taste. No custard anymore.

Unfortunately we got forgotten about too many times, so disappointed

Average for a pub... Not packed but not enough menus to look at, so had to wait an age just to browse, then given only a few minutes before being asked for our orders! Food was over salted, and over cooked, except my well done steak, which was bloody....

Amazing meals - we had ribs, steak and pork belly and all were amazing. Friendly staff too.

Great service and good food. However contemporary decor did not give comfy ambiance. And did not like that some meals on the menu were not served with some form of starch or veggies. These had to be ordered as extras

Birthday party for wife was best ever thanks to excellent food and drink and especially Rachel and Nick who looked after us superbly.

Great place local too us, always friendly, main meal was excellent but the crumble was tasteless and overly mushy so I didn't eat it. They also seem to be stuck in the winter with their pudding choice, summer is here so lets have a choice that's not so heavy. Wouldn't hesitate to go back as I am sure this was a glitch.

Roast dinner was amazing as always with a huge portion, but service was a little slow considering it was so quiet. The Bakewell tart was average, it could have done with a little more flavour. We will definitely be returning!

Quiet lunch on miserable May Day so we thought we would have a ride out following recommendations. Unfortunately they were a Chef down so it was a long wait- I throughly enjoyed my ham and chips and staff were very apologetic. Wasn’t up to much so wait was not an issue. Would go again, hopefully when fully staffed
