A bit disappointing, the food was very average and the restaurant was rather dark and oppressive with canned music and little atmosphere.

It was good to be able to eat there again.

The food was great, and the service was good too. Needs a bit more of ventilation and social distancing at the moment but outside the covid situation everything was great.

There portions were very small had to have food when we returned home

Warm welcome, good atmosphere. Excellent service, decent bar, locally sourced fresh ingredients make for an attractive menu.

Food lovely, could have been a lot hotter tho...manageress very hostile and rude and unwelcoming, this caused me to not engage with her ,we love to support local...in this case We will not be....which is a shame, first visit and last...my husband couldn’t wait to leave, he is very unwell and we where hoping for a rare family enjoyable meal out...sadly this wasn’t the case.

Great atmosphere and delicious 3 course meal! Would have loved to have enjoyed the wine pairing with each dish but being 29 weeks pregnant stopped that! Thankfully though, I was offered a non-alcoholic cocktail without having to ask, which was a lovely touch! We were well looked after.

Ashley the owner was very welcoming. The room was large and clean with a lovely outlook. The food, cooked by Ashby’s husband was really first class and worth travelling a long way for! Service was also first rate. Great location in Jedburgh and for a borders trip. Highly recommended!

The food was good, but a overpriced. Overall it seemed a bit like the place was trying a little too hard to be exclusive.

Excellent food and service, but as we were the only diners it lacked atmosphere. Our table of 6 were squashed in a corner, tho I know it can be difficult to fit large tables in, it seemed unnecessary.

Absolutely delicious food, lovely 3 course, only downer was a large party at the table behind us were rather loud and for me, it kind of kill the more quieter atmosphere that was there! But that can’t be help, especially if they had been drinking prior to sitting down.

Fabulous meal, the steaks and venison were cooked to a tee and the chocolate ganache dessert was beautiful too. Service is second to none and Ashley is a super hostess. Will be back soon. Highly recommend

Excellent food, ambience and service A class act, food served in a modern fashion but with great flavour. Nothing too much trouble for the staff.
