More about the restaurant: The Castle Inn
Skipton is a fairly ancient place – the castle dates back to the 12th Century – and, while The Castle Inn is not as old as that, they’ve certainly been there for a decent amount of time as well. The building that they occupy on Mill Bridge in the centre of Skipton was built in the 1800s and their menu is steeped in British and Yorkshire classics that everyone can enjoy. From the coast comes Whitby scampi, Yorkshire Dales lamb’s liver and onion, roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, locally-sourced game meat gamekeeper’s pie among others. Throw in a few sharing platters, a lunch menu, a selection of small plates and, of course, a fully-stocked bar with local ales and an extensive wine list. Reserve a table and head on over to Skipton town centre, right by the famous castle, and The Castle Inn.
