With two restaurants in London, The Cedar is well versed in serving up delicious Lebanese cuisine, and their branch on Fernhead Road is the place to go for mouthwatering mezze, grilled meats, seafood and other Middle Eastern favorites in West Hampstead. Whether you want to chow down on a shawarma sandwich, tuck into some shakshouka or indulge in some delicious grilled meat like the farrouj meshwi (baby chicken marinated with garlic and lemon). Vegetarians will find plenty of choice too, from falafel sandwiches to an array of mezze plates like halloumi and kibbeh yakteen (deep fried pumpkins and crushed wheat shells filled with seasoned spinach and chickpeas). To guarantee a table at The Cedar, make a reservation in advance!
Great food and service. I will definitely be going back there again..... such tasty food with the use of middle eastern spices and amazing flavours. Yum yum xxx
Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Good service from very friendly staff. One complaint - the portions are too big but they do doggie bags. Will return.
Generally very good - and large portions. Although they gave us some pieces of baklava after the main course, we were quite surprised they didn't have any other desserts at all. However, food was nice and plentiful so will go again.
Lovely food, our party thoroughly enjoyed it. Great selection of dishes, we had some of the lamb and chicken dishes, which were great, and the whitebait was good too.
The Cedar is a popular Lebanese Restaurant which quickly got busy after our 6.30pm arrival. The food is very tasty with good sized portions. They offer you olives, pickles, and a selection of nuts to nibble on while you decide what to have from the full menu. I had the mixed grill and my friend had the sea bass. The Lebanese house white was dry and good value for money. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommended!
Very nice food in generous portions. Pleasant atmosphere and staff. Staff could have been a little more attentive as we where thirsty but there was no one around much of the time to ask for water/drinks. However, that's only a minor criticism and I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a place to go for a decent Lebanese meal.
Great value and good well cooked food. Service very good. Very popular on a busy night. We will return as there is plenty on the menu we want to try.
