The Clove has certainly struck it lucky in terms of location, situated where Southville, The Chessels and Ashton Gate meet in Bedminster. As luck would have it, locals have made The Clove their home away from home when they’re looking for authentic South Asian cuisine and want to be treated to proper South Asian hospitality. Offering up a menu promising a taste of India, this Luckville Road kitchen is located a short stroll from the Southville village strip along North Road, The Comedy Box and the landmark Tobacco Factory Theatre, making the restaurant sought-after for casual pre-and post-event dining. Picking from a clear and comprehensive menu of Indian dishes, we thoroughly recommend chef’s specialties like The Clove’s lamb chop bhuna or lamb tikka, the keema mator or the rushan king prawns.
Been there once for a busy Saturday service and once as a drunken takeaway. They are extremely friendly and the food is epic! I ordered the mixed grill and also the clove special with Lamb and it was great! Both me and the boyfriend loves it! Can't wait for my next visit and highly recommend it. In fact may go this weekend! It is just simply that delicious and I am a tough one to please as I have only just recently started eating Indian food so keep it up and I will be a customer for a very long time!
Me and my sister enjoyed a delicious meal at the Clove last night. The service was excellent and we were made to feel welcome and well looked after. This was my first visit and shall certainly be visiting again.
Despite a few dramas (the food lift got stuck) so our food was cooked again. It was a pleasure as always! Definitely recommend to all x
