Booked short notice and had the best roast beef. Really enjoyable. Landlord walks around to make sure everything is OK. Will definitely be returning.

Great food that was well cooked, and great value for money.

We visited The Cock near the end of a 3.5 week trip to the UK. This was by far the best meal we have had during this trip. The quality was excellent and the size was perfect. I am usually a believer that most Sunday roasts are never as good as what you can make yourself, but this was an exception to the rule. Every dish was great and so were the sweets. As well as good conversation with the owner(?). If you are anywhere near this pub drop in for something to eat. Simple

I really like this place, been quite a few times and always enjoyed it the food is always good and staff attentive.

Delicious home cooked food. Service was very smooth and efficient and the staff were really welcoming and friendly to Mum and my dog. Cant wait to go back with the rest of the family.

An absolutely wonderful evening celebrating my Dads birthday, Jackie and Gary put up birthday banners, and My Dad had a candle in his pudding and Gary came out singing Happy Birthday so the atmosphere was wonderful, with all singing along. The food is exceptional,, very generous portions and real home cooked flavors. From 16 to 78yrs 3veryone had a wonderful evening. Cannot thank Jackie, Gary and staff enough for making so much effort to ensure our evening celebrations were perfect. Highly recommend. After booking online had several very informative emails from Jackie, we preordered as we were a large group but on the morning one of my party changed their mind and wanted to change their choice, I phoned Jackie who was very happy to assure me it was absolutely fine to change the meal. A fantastic evening was had by all, thank you to all at The Cock Inn.

Great food. Six of us with different choices but all food came together and all nice and hot.

Sadly today was rather disappointing. Have always LOVED the range of freshly cooked veg which accompanied dishes. Not today. Food was fine but I had the Veg Bake. V expensive for what it was. A shame.

Lovely couple that run the place! Nice chickens and mushroom pie on pie night and they cooked my Nan fish and chips even though it wasn’t on the menu! Yummy honeycomb parfait too

Great restaurant, great staff would recommend this place - the only reason they didn’t get full marks was because they didn’t have the special- braised beef that my husband loved last time, but maybe they will on our next visit
