Booked Sunday Lunch as we had friends staying with us and kept telling them that the Roast Beef on the Sunday Menu was delicious however on arriving and seeing the Menu there was no Roast Beef.We all decided to have the Lamb and this was delicious as were the vegetables.The Dessert Menu was limited so we selected Sticky Toffee Pudding,this saw a big mistake the Sauce was nice however the Ice Cream still had lumps of ice in and Pudding itself was very heavy,like a mini brick, and tasteless.Will not be returning in a hurry.

Had dinner there . Food ok but one salmon dish was over cooked and unpleasantly greasy . Generally staff very pleasant but one was rather abrupt !

Tempura prawn starter was delicious. The scallops as a main was tasty but only just warm. There was a long wait between starter & main. When we asked for the bill the waitress apologised about the wait as they had been busy. Decaf coffee was not good; very weak.

We recently stayed at the Collingwood Arms and the room was lovely. A large room with comfortable traditionally styled furniture, an enormous bed, lovely views and a great bathroom.

Beautiful setting, great welcome from staff and great service. Very relaxing atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu and all of the food was fresh and delicious. Only slight criticism was the Eton Mess, although creamy and fruity it was all whipped together and had no crispy meringue, which is usually the best part of Eton Mess. Overall it was a lovely meal and we will definitely be back!

The service was good with pleasant friendly staff, the food was good and tasty the mains could have been a bit hotter but overall we had a nice pleasant lunch and hope to return in the future 😀
