Located a stone’s throw from the sea, it would be remiss of The Counting House Cleethorpes not to offer freshly caught seafood. Thankfully they do, and you’ll find some of the most delicious fish dishes waiting for you in this city centre restaurant and bar. Though, it’s not all about the seafood. The Counting House menu is inspired by European comfort classics and no matter what you’re craving, you’ll be in for a mighty fine time to say the least. If you’re in for brunch, keep an eye out for the eggs benedict topped with hollandaise and bacon and pair it with the bloody mary – an ideal way to start the day, trust us.
If you’re in for dinner, we recommend kicking things at The Counting House off with a few starters to share. We love the smoked poacher souffle with red onion relish; the salt and pepper squid served with Thai pickle salad and the sharing platter filled with a whole host of tasty morsels. For your main, you’ll find a range of dishes from the grill, pizzas, pasta and fully fledged mains to choose from – we can’t get enough of the fried buttermilk chicken with satay slaw, sweet potato fries and hot sauce or the slow-roasted beef bourguignon and dumplings. It’s all delicious though so it’s no surprise that this European hotspot has become the local favourite it is. You’ll find The Counting House Cleethorpes on Sea View Road in the city centre, right across from the beach.
