Well organised and good COVID precautions. Some interesting dishes. Portions very generous. If you are like us, 80+, you might ask to share.

We waited nearly an hour for our meal, despite only 5 tables of 4 people in total , with only 2 tables of people on our arrival. The food was tasty, but a very small amount of fries served with the steak, there were 14 in total, which I think for £17.50 was not great value for money! The salad was more like a garnish and served with a quarter of a cherry tomato, which is laughable. The waiting staff were pleasant, but no apology for such a long wait. For pub grub think it was overpriced, £84 for four drinks, four mains and two desserts. Not the best dining experience, and wouldn't go back there again.

A lovely evening eating in the garden. Great food and service. All COVID measures in place and everywhere was very clean. Looking forward to returning soon

A great local pub, food was fantastic! Nice selection of different beers on draft as well.

We ordered roast chicken to come with stuffing. Meal arrived without stuffing. Did inform waitress . Five minutes or so later brought out. Stuffing still frozen in middle . Informed waitress said wd do another. By then just couldn’t be bothered to wait again so said not to bother. Quite disappointed with quality and taste of roast . The chicken was small compared to other roasts have had. Did not enjoy anything about the main course . Unfortunately will not go back.

Duck was amazing. Prawn linguine was a little dry with minimal prawns Service was brilliant friendly and chatty Would go back again

The service was very good. The food varied between some good and some okay.

Forgot to cook one of our meals and quite slow service, disappointing compared to previous visits.

Unfortunately there was a replacement chef on duty which resulted in excessive waiting times. The duty manager was both apologetic and attentive which helped matters. The part time bar maid was less than efficient.

Lovely staff and amazing food , have rebooked for next week.

The pub was very nice and the staff were polite and pleasant. We booked a table for 7 and we didn't have to wait too long for our food ( we were the only ones in restaurant area at this time and only a couple of people eating in public area). Four of my party ordered roast beef dinner. Three of which couldn't be eaten because the beef was cut very thickly and very tough, (they had to spit it out} we informed staff and asked if they could bring replacement meat cut thinner, which they happily did and apologised. They offered a free drink to affected members of our party. Felt this spoilt the overall dining out experience which was a shame as the pub and staff are very nice.

The food was lovely and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Service was very poor. No greeting on arrival, very slow to take orders and waited for ever for the food. When it came the food was Ok, but very small portions. We won’t be rushing back.

Don't book online, if the manager's not in the staff won't see it! Fortunately we didn't want a desert as it was clear they had run out of some options. Good food, friendly service and affordable prices.

They were very busy so we had a bit of a wait for our food but we were kept updated and weren’t forgotten. Food was delicious (especially the crumble!). Very friendly staff. We would be very happy to return. Thank you 👍😋

The food was good, but the waiting time was not, we had to wait almost an hour from arrival before getting our meal served. The atmosphere was good, and we would return as long as we didn’t have to wIt so long.

the best steak we have had this year,the crumble was very fruity just like i like it, staff were on the ball,will go there again
