The food was very good, but the service was slow and inattentive at times. The whole experience was marred by the fact that two staff members walked out in tears, alleging that the owner had been drinking and hit one of them. The owner then came outside as we were leaving and had a rant about interfering with his running of his business. I shan't go back.

A very nice meal but we found that we were rushed -the staff weere lovely and very attentive- almost too attentive..... would have been nicer for a little more time in between courses.

The Cricketers was very quiet - and service quite slow, which is shouldn't have been for the number of people there. Food could have been very good, but my sea bass was overcooked and the coffee afterwards was only luke warm. I should have sent it back really. Staff were very nice - friendly and polite, and the owner stopped to chat briefly. It was a shame about the food as I have eaten there several times before and it has always been excellent - and busy.

A lovely venue for dinner with a varied and interesting menu all cooķed fresh to order. I ate the liver parfait and fish stew, both were very good and recommended. The owner clearly has a pasion for food which shows in the plates delivered. Service was a little slow at the end of the night but all in all it was a lovely meal.

Greeted at door as soon as we walked through it, staff were friendly and attentive as they could be, it was so busy in there. Food was great, only minor thing we were on a table which was against a wall so difficult to get out of. Otherwise it was great
