We booked it because of menu on website, when we arrived very limited menu, fish and chips was the only fish meal on menu, none of us had our original choice from website menu. I had Gammon and egg, Gammon was dried out and overcooked. my friend had hunter chicken which had to much mash, and veg were not cooked enough. The men had pizza and ribs which they enjoyed. It was ok, but we won’t return.

Unorganised, staff lack people skills. Wish I had read reviews before coming. Adult meals arriving early making the kids wait?

All very laid back (synonym for slow) but we didn't mind. Four old friends getting together again so it was fine.

First visit & will go again, slightly disappointed with the adult roast felt it lacked variety of vegetables making the potion feel small . Burger was lovely according to another member of the group hence we will visit again.

This pub was featured in a walk on the Alltrails app. We parked in the car park and went on a very nice walk and the Dog & Duck provided the perfect ending. Good hygiene and social-distance/one-way measures in place and we were greeted with cheery faces. We sat in the front which, although by the road, was quieter than the back and we preferred it. We didn’t have to wait too long for the food and my crab salad was plentiful and delicious, with a lovely, subtle dressing on fresh salad. My husband eats fish & chips every time we go to a pub so he’s a bit of a connoisseur and he loved his meal. The batter was light and crispy, the fish perfectly cooked and the chips were also beautifully crunchy. The landlady was nice and attentive. Toilets were spotless.

This is now the third time I have eaten at the dog and duck and now the third very average meal. The setting of the pub is lovely but the food just doesn’t cut it compared to others in the area.

Visited Dig & Duck Saturday night, second after re-opening. The staff were friendly and welcoming, there were strict social distancing enforced, hand sanitizer was readily available at entrance, exits, etc. The menu was limited, but we knew it was before we visited. I had a warm goats cheese salad with orange and caramelised walnuts and it was absolutely delicious. One thing I do think needs addressing is a specific smoking area outside, away from diners. Apart from that I thoroughly recommend you to visit you’ll receive a warm welcome

We visited for my Mum's 90th birthday, and had a really enjoyable lunch. We didn't have to wait long for our roasts, which were delicious, but at the same time, did not feel rushed. We will certainly be returning.

Second visit here and it was just as good as the first. Hot plates, hot food and just the right amount too. Fluffiest tastiest omelettes and the best Lemon Cheesecake, so smooth and tangy. The food is sensibly priced, not the cheapest, but if you want cheap then you will get cheap quality too. The food here is freshly cooked and you can really taste the difference. I did not give top marks for noise level, purely because the music was too loud for us and we struggled to hear our friends chatting. However, having said that, we asked the waitress if she would mind turning it down and she happily did so with no question. I mentioned to the waitress that it was my husbands and also our friends Birthday and to our surprise, unprompted, the puddings came out with candles on them. Such a nice touch. Thank you x
