Lovely pub with great food and excellent service. Portion size was really generous too!

Sunday Lunch is available all day up to 9pm. BUT, even though we ate at tea time, it seemed like the food had been cooked much earlier then kept warm or re-heated. Not great! ‘Restaurant empty,’ says it all, I guess.

Four of my family had lunch, we all had the fish and chips and it was very good. I recommend this restaurant.

We had a Sunday meal (turkey) absolutely fantastic. Going back again this Sunday.

It was a bit noisy initially, but then the restaurant cleared and so it improved. The food and service was excellent.

Six of my family went for Christmas dinner and everything was great. The service was fantastic and the staff looked after us really well. The meal was cooked to perfection and we all enjoyed ourselves, we are considering about going next Christmas, I recommend this restaurant.

Our booking was very early evening but my choice of lamb shank was off. Not told about food not available on being given the menus. Was offered another cut of lamb so accepted. This came in a bowl and the lamb was tough. Given a steak knife...with lamb? Unable to cut it as no room in a bowl. Whatever happened to plates? Not asked how the meal was until plates were finally cleared. Long wait between courses. The waiters were doing their best but were overwhelmed by amount of people in .

Visited several times in 2018 and the food was always good with a wide variety available. This time selection more limited. Food was over cooked, chips dry and only warm. Will not be returning any time soon.

Starter of prawn cocktail was very nice. Big prawns. Unfortunately the roast dinner was just luke warm. The veg were all cold. Waitress wasn't at all interested !

Bit disappointing because although the food was ok, it was different to what the menu said. The restaurant had just been taken over so there seemed to be teething problems. I have been back since and the service and food is now excellent .

Five of us went for lunch and everything was cooked perfectly,we were looked after by the member of staff on duty and made very welcome, we enjoyed the food very much and we are all going on Christmas Day for lunch, I recommend this restaurant.

Food very good and good service . Michael very attentive gave you the right amount of time to feel relaxed but not feel like you were waiting which was good and we had a lovely time.

We had a Sunday dinner of roast beef the vegetables were really undercooked and we couldn't eat them we couldn't even cut them my beef was very very raw and not tasted very nice at all

My visit to The Dove was great ,I went for lunch and I had the fish and chips and it was cooked to perfection, the chips were nice and crisp and the fish had lovely large flakes. The member of staff who took my order was most helpful and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant.

I had the fish and chips lunch and a J2O drink the whole meal was great and only cost £8.30 which I was very pleased with. The staff were very friendly and made me most welcome, the atmosphere was really nice. I booked for dinner on Christmas Day for six of my family.I recommend this restaurant.

I went for lunch and I had the fish and chips with mushy peas and lovely side salad, the mealiu was cooked to perfection, the chips were nice and crisp, the fish had large white flakes. The staff gave great service and the restaurant atmosphere was very welcoming, I recommend this restaurant.

There was 11 of us for a family birthday. I had emailed our orders through the day before. We were waited on by a young man who unfortunately, I didn't get the name of. He was very friendly and extremely accommodating with all of our requests. The food was lovely and we didn't have to wait too long for it. A very enjoyable visit.
