The Downfield

We had a lovely time at the Downfield great. Selection of meals without having to wait more than fifteen minutes, we had our Son and Grandson with us as it was my Birthday and the meals and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are happy.

Had reserved table through Quando on arrival informed by downfield hotel they were no longer involved with Quando - no tables available. Will not be using Quando again. Had to wait 1 hr for available table.

Food was really nice, slightly disappointed as there wasn't a very good selection of gins or choice of lagers

Good food, pleasant staff, value for money.Easy to find and park.

Lovely food and good service. We always book for a teatime visit as it's always busy. Even this visit - a Monday evening, the place was packed out.

Service was really good. Good value for money. Steak pie was amazing. Burger not so good - bland and overcooked. Overall I would definitely recommend! :)

The food was t asty but we had to wait 50 minutes for it to be served which meant that we were late back to work.

Absolutely beautiful tandoori lamb curry and mixed grill. Excellent value for money the place was extremely busy but we had booked anyway so were seated and had our food within half hour of us arriving. Will definitely be going back.

Really good. Food excellent and service. Two extra places were needed and this was no problem. Only thing we weren't told there was a private function and we needed to leave earlier than planned. The staff were very apologetic and it didn't spoil our evening

Quite disappointed this time as waited hour on food arriving and when it came the burger was burnt , mac and cheese was great as always and fish was good.
