About The Duke of York - Skirlaugh

The Duke of York Skirlaugh is a traditional British pub restaurant that we just love. There’s a quality range of wine, beer and food on offer, of course, all of which work together nicely to make The Duke of York one of the most pleasant dining experiences in this part of suburban Hull. From the food menu you can expect a mix of British pub classics as well as quite a few more internationally-inspired options – try the lamb shank or the parmesan and parsley crusted salmon fillet – and you’ll find The Duke of York right on Main Road as you pass through the very heart of Skirlaugh village. This place is absolutely worth the trip from central Hull but be sure to arrive armed with a reservation.

This is the second time we have visited this pub and had a meal, both occasions we have had excellent food and the staff are very friendly and helpful

Nice warm greeting, the young lady was very helpful. The dining room was a little cold at first so we moved to next to a radiator. The food arrived in a timely manner and it was delicious. We were both full and couldn't manage a dessert :-(

Heard a lot about this pub from others . Surroundings were lovely, choice on menu was vast. Meals were beautifully prepared and presented. Quality of food was superb . A meal fit for a king Most definitely will go back, in fact we’ve rebooked for December before leaving but I’m sure will visit before then.
