Mornings look a little bit like hearty breakfasts and coffee that’s sure to wake you up, whereas the focus at lunchtime and in the evening is on woodfired, sourdough pizzas, small plates, healthy salads and craft beers. Advance booking is recommended to get a taste of that sweet, sweet pizza – so, don’t delay!
If you want authentic woodfired pizza made just the way the Italians do, you’d best be bopping along to The Dynamo Balham on Ritherdon Road. Whether you’re an avid cyclist, a coffee nerd or just a proud pizza lover, this London eatery is the place to be. If you’re planning a big feed to set you up for the day at this Italian restaurant at Balham, let us suggest The Full Dynamo brekkie complete with corn fritters, bacon, halloumi, avocado, Sriracha aioli and two poached eggs. You’ll be pretty much able to conquer the world after that one!
Lunch at The Dynamo Balham, London looks a little bit like chorizo croquettes with skin-on fries and truffle mayo or pork and beef meatballs with tomato sauce and pecorino cheese. But let’s get down to the most important dish at The Dynamo Balham, now shall we? Pizza all day, every day, of course! The Grossglockner with mascarpone crème, scamorza cheese, portobello mushroom, speck, gorgonzola and rocket is sure to appeal to many. Whereas the Sa Calobra with tomato, Fior di Latte mozzarella, fennel salami, luganica sausage, red onion and pistachio is the ultimate crowd-pleaser at The Dynamo Balham. But, regardless of what your favourite kind of pizza is, make sure you book a table ahead of time to beat the crowds.
Great pizza and really good value on Mondays, when it's £6 for any pizza (although would've been nice to have been told that the mozzarella extra which is a recommended extra with one of the pizza in still an additional £2). Big pizzas, so great value for money, and the skin on fries with aioli were tasty. Nice big open restaurant, with space outside, and friendly service (service charge is included in the bill).
Good atmosphere, accommodating and always friendly staff. They have great pizzas and good breakfast/brunch menu as well. Happy hour between 4 & 7, 2 drinks for 1. We will absolutely be returning. Cheers.
