Brilliant food, great presentation, brilliant prompt and friendly service. Very relaxing atmosphere. I would give it 5 stars. New to area and will certainly be returning as often as possible

Service was great, the guy who served us prior to him finishing his shift told us we still had time to order from the early bird menu. He even said which dish was his fave! Food lovely would definitely be back

We waited almost an hour for food and there were only two other parties there. We were not told there would be a long wait when ordering despite them knowing the chef was struggling. The food was fine, but overpriced at £10 for a very basic chicken kebab. The waitress was very pleasant but could have informed us of the wait without us having to ask, and could have offered something while we waited - drinks or snacks or something. It's a shame as the pub looks great, the food was good and the staff pleasant - for me it just needed to sharpen its customer service by way of information to customers and look at pricing. Some sandwich options for hot summer days rather than just pies and burgers might be worth considering as well.

Beautiful food but poor service. The main meal was served quite quickly but we would have been waiting there now to order dessert. There were two quite large parties of people in which could account for it but they definitely needed another pair of hands as there was a queue at the bar which took a long time to clear as only one person serving, and then they needed ice :/ Were planning on Christmas Day there but I'm not so sure now.

Gorgeous place! We had afternoon tea, was lovely! But felt there should have been more savoury, we got two small rectangular sandwiches each and then loads of cakes however they were Delicious and would definitely return! We did have to ask for the tea and was disappointed it didn’t come out in the mad hatter theme pot but it obviously tastes the same! Great venue and we cannot wait to return!

Had the mad hatters afternoon tea and the bar man made us a DELICIOUS strawberry gin cocktail (can’t remember the name sorry) and it was the best cocktail I have ever tasted presented very instagramable too with fresh fruit as a garnish! 10/10

Lovely county pub, friendly helpful staff. We had the mad hatters afternoon tea which was delicious, they were happy to make us a mocktail instead of the prosecco (it was amazing and would be even better with some gin in it) as we were both driving. Looking forward to my next visit

I have been here a number of times and have always been very impressed but unfortunately they let themselves down on this visit. We waited 30 minutes before we even got our drinks then another 30 minutes for the starters (they lost the order). When our food finally arrived it was lovely but what should have been an hour's visit soon turned in to 2. They did take a straight £20 off our bill and did apologize after. I would still go back as I know that this is not normal service from here.

Slow service, booked table given to someone else, warm food, long queues at the bar and not enough staff for the amount of customer. Lots of complaints from other people.

Food quality was good. The organisation was crazy. Dropping other customers food off for us. Card machine not working. Not how it should be.

We arrived at 1-25. Ordered drinks and food at about 1-35. Drinks were no problem. Ordered more drinks, no problem. At 2-20 asked a waitress about our order. The reply was what would you like. Explained that we had ordered at least 45 minutes ago. Sorry. No order taken. Left and went to the Three Horse Shoes (Running Waters). First class food, first class service. Won’t bother with the Farmers Arms again.

Very annoyed that we were not informed that we would have to pay in cash (or on-line banking) until after our drinks had been served.
