Amazing food, perfect atmosphere and the staff are friendly. What more can you ask for
Went for a girlies night out - service was second to none. Warm and cosy and food was sublime - well worth a visit
Lovely meal will be back in the next few weeks
This place is like a tardis once you get inside, the atmosphere and ambience was lovely and relaxed. The staff cannot do enough for you and were extremely attentive. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all, there were three of us in our party and we all had something different and all thought our meals were equally good. The only thing that let them down was the toilets, there was no hand drying facilities in the ladies (despite there being a hand dryer which wasn’t working and a paper towel holder with no paper in it) and my husband remarked that there was a bucket under the urinals in the men’s which wasn’t pleasant. I should imagine that these will be sorted though so don’t let it put you off visiting!
Fantastic Sunday lunch loved it went back again last week.
Friendly staff and good cocktails! We had a lovely time
Everyone enjoyed the meals. Excellent service will definitely go back.
Nice atmosphere, great food, wish I'd had room for dessert
It was our first time here, it won't be the last, very helpful and friendly service
Good children’s menu, and the vegetarian pie is amazing! Thoroughly enjoyable, as always.
Brilliant food, great presentation, brilliant prompt and friendly service. Very relaxing atmosphere. I would give it 5 stars. New to area and will certainly be returning as often as possible
Service was great, the guy who served us prior to him finishing his shift told us we still had time to order from the early bird menu. He even said which dish was his fave! Food lovely would definitely be back
Food and service were great, we'll be coming back ☺️
Very friendly atmosphere, good food, and real ale at low prices
We waited almost an hour for food and there were only two other parties there. We were not told there would be a long wait when ordering despite them knowing the chef was struggling. The food was fine, but overpriced at £10 for a very basic chicken kebab. The waitress was very pleasant but could have informed us of the wait without us having to ask, and could have offered something while we waited - drinks or snacks or something. It's a shame as the pub looks great, the food was good and the staff pleasant - for me it just needed to sharpen its customer service by way of information to customers and look at pricing. Some sandwich options for hot summer days rather than just pies and burgers might be worth considering as well.
Lovely food, but the atmosphere was not good. No seperate dining are.
Beautiful food but poor service. The main meal was served quite quickly but we would have been waiting there now to order dessert. There were two quite large parties of people in which could account for it but they definitely needed another pair of hands as there was a queue at the bar which took a long time to clear as only one person serving, and then they needed ice :/ Were planning on Christmas Day there but I'm not so sure now.
Limited menu choices. Still enjoyable but not as good as previous visits.
Gorgeous place! We had afternoon tea, was lovely! But felt there should have been more savoury, we got two small rectangular sandwiches each and then loads of cakes however they were Delicious and would definitely return! We did have to ask for the tea and was disappointed it didn’t come out in the mad hatter theme pot but it obviously tastes the same! Great venue and we cannot wait to return!
Very friendly staff and good food. Chef came out to offer me aveggie or vegan version of the chicken and leek pie which was much appreciated.
Lovely service and food, very helpful, going back next week
Lovely pub with good food and good ales. We will be back
Very good food, nice decor and very welcoming staff. Will be visiting again.
Food amazing as always ..but table booked for 12.15 ..did not get served til 12.30 then they forgot our drinks as she was to busy texting .but to be fair they did apologize to us x
Food was excellent but due to being busy the service was slow..but they showed willingness. I am sure the new owners will get a handle on the systems
Had the mad hatters afternoon tea and the bar man made us a DELICIOUS strawberry gin cocktail (can’t remember the name sorry) and it was the best cocktail I have ever tasted presented very instagramable too with fresh fruit as a garnish! 10/10
Very average Sunday lunch. There was a floater in one of our drinks. Toilets weren’t clean.
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Lovely vegetarian options on the standard menu. The staff are lovely too.
Always love visiting here. Staff very accommodating. Food lovely. Warm, homely atmosphere.
Lovely atmosphere with great food and a canny pint. What’s not to like.
Really good food, first time being here and will be coming back.
Superb food and drink all at a good price. Highly recommend the hanging kebabs. All delivered with service with a smile.
Lovely food friendly staff nice ambiance and food excellent well worth a trip
Love it here! Fab atmosphere and tasty food! Will definitely return x
Lovely county pub, friendly helpful staff. We had the mad hatters afternoon tea which was delicious, they were happy to make us a mocktail instead of the prosecco (it was amazing and would be even better with some gin in it) as we were both driving. Looking forward to my next visit
The staff are very friendly and the food was amazing
Lovely place, staff pleasant, great Sunday lunch. Would definitely eat here again.
Excellent food ,great service, a canny pint and a roaring fire. Nuf said
I have been here a number of times and have always been very impressed but unfortunately they let themselves down on this visit. We waited 30 minutes before we even got our drinks then another 30 minutes for the starters (they lost the order). When our food finally arrived it was lovely but what should have been an hour's visit soon turned in to 2. They did take a straight £20 off our bill and did apologize after. I would still go back as I know that this is not normal service from here.
Lovely food and good portions. Had a lovely afternoon there today, staff are very helpful. Great offer on pie and pint too!
