Country pubs don’t come much cosier and welcoming that The Foresters Arms on the rural edge of Darlington. With a roaring fire for the winter and large al fresco dining area for the summer months, The Foresters Arms offer a relaxed setting (especially for Sunday lunch) whatever the time of year. More important than the pub’s warm atmosphere and picturesque venue, though, is the incredible food at The Foresters Arms. Chef-owners Emma Foffano and Sylwester Michalak may be better known for their expertise in other cuisines (as the owner of two successful local Italian eateries and a former chef for the offices of the Polish President, respectively) but there is no mistaking their dedication to and mastery of proper British food. Utmost importance is given to sourcing quality local ingredients, and though the menu changes frequently with the seasons or bursts of inspiration, you’re guaranteed a sensational meal whenever you visit The Foresters Arms in Coatham Mundeville.
Sorry we didn't stay for Sunday lunch. Anywhere that states on the menu Well done silverside of beef is not for me So we politely left
Pity this place was so empty. Having recently changed hands, its need it's clientele building up. Come on people of Darlington if you want delicious freshly cooked food at a very reasonable price and good service to boot.
