The Fox Loxley is about as good a British pub and restaurant as you could wish to find. On Goldicote Road as you head out from Stratford-upon-Avon, it’s a gorgeous building with a well-stocked bar inside and an even better kitchen. From it comes delicious, seasonal dishes made with local produce and love. Whatever time of the year you visit, though, you can expect British pub classics as well as plenty of options that are a little more internationally-inspired and definitely worth getting excited about. The Fox Loxley is fit for all the family (even the dogs if you’re staying in the bar area) and advanced reservations are advised to avoid missing out on a table.

The Fox Loxley is ideal whether it’s an elegant evening meal you’re after or a lunch break during a weekend walk. There’s a beautiful pub garden for when the summer months allow and the interior is cosy and welcoming for when the winter insists upon a proper Sunday roast. Either way, high-quality, fresh local produce is guaranteed at The Fox Loxley located on Goldicote Road as you head out from Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s worth noting again that menus do change according to season and so our recommendations are based upon what the kitchen is cooking up at the time of writing, but you can rest assured that The Fox menus will always be creative.
We’d recommend the Welsh rarebit to start, a British pub classic that here comes with crispy smoked bacon and a poached free-range Loxley egg. For something slightly more luxurious, the pan-fried scallops with crispy pork belly, pea puree and curry oil are an absolute delight. For your main there is all sorts to choose from but we found it hard to say no to the Holy Grail beer-battered cod with triple cooked chips, as well as the wonderfully British herb crusted rack of lamb with minted asparagus, pea couscous, charred baby gem and pea puree. Dining in Loxley doesn’t get much better than The Fox. Reserve your table now.
