So much choice on the menu it’s impossible not to see several dishes you like. I really like their shepherds pie which is not that common in many restaurants. Special offers worth taking advantage of.

The service and the Sunday roast is the best in town.. keep it up and also very friendly indeed!

A popular pub so very happy to book a table for three on the Spur of the Moment early Saturday evening. Mum had three of the starters - Chicken Gougons, Chicken Wings with choice of sauce and Corn Fritters. My parter had the Rib Combo - ribs - chicken and wings and I had the Smoked Haddock and Mozzarella Fish Cakes plus a side of Onion Rings. Very good portion sizes. Lots of choice for wine - also reasonably priced. Sauvignon Blanc. We didn’t have dessert as we were already full. (Only one small downside - the coffee machine was out of action.) So much choice and good value for the price we’ll be back to try something else.

Sunday lunch today, triple meat option, all the trimmings and condiments. Wife and me very much enjoyed the experience. Helpful and friendly staff. Guinness 0.0 for me and orange juice for the wife to accompany the meals. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are looking to have a Sunday lunch at the George once a month. Fabulous.

Well-received and well-served. We had a table in the “Garden” which was virtually empty. Sun was shining and we enjoyed our lunch. As we were outside we were obliged to “Pay up Front” and order our food at the bar. This was not at all inconvenient and an understandable precaution. Yes, a good lunch experience.
