Nothing not to like , menu varied and prices reasonable.

Lovely place. Not as busy as expected which was pleasant. Huge menu choice including lots of vegan and vegetarian and they asked about allergies

Lovely staff, amazing gluten free options with excellent food and so much choice!

Came on Sunday 21st April for my sisters 30th Birthday. Staff were great and really helpful. As a family of vegan's we were very impressed with the menu. My only complaint would be that The Southern Fried 'Chicken' didnt state that it was Jackfruit, if i had of known this I would have ordered something else, so didnt end up eating the 'Chicken' The Vegan Cheesy garlic bread was a winner all round. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu

The staff were very confused about our order and and there were no tables available. Individually the staff were very polite and tried their best but as a company something went wrong. We ate elsewhere.

As a coeliac I love this place. Everything on menu gluten free and staff knowledgeable about a gluten free diet. Food well cooked and presented. We had a really pleasant Mother’s Day lunch and will definitely return

As a coeliac it’s so nice to be able to order off menu with no restriction. Only criticism as with most gluten free products / menus a little pricey.

The food is exceptional, both my partner and myself have food intolerances, so this is the place to be. The staff are very friendly, it is a nice cosy environment, a definite must :)

Pleasant place to go to but the food was bland and overpriced. One person had a vegetable curry. Plate is small and they covered half the plate with a piece of flatbread. Puddings were microwaved and very small portions.

Staff were excellent and very welcoming food lovely. Great place. Could do with a gin menu so customers can view before ordering, but will definitely visit again.

Lovely food and great staff. Would definitely visit again would definitely recommend the belly pork and would gladly recommend to my family and friends. Can’t believe I havnt found this place before now

absolute gem of a find! turned up on open mic night so had free entertainment too. Everything was spot on and I can't wait to eat there again!

Friendly staff, great building with character and very good food. Will be back again. Burgers were very good as was the roast dinner. Worth a visit.

We had a very good Sunday lunch at The Golden Cross. The food and service were both good, and good value too. Would recommend and will definitely come again.

We have eaten there a number of times and it has been good. Unfortunately this time we waited 50 minutes for food, whIch after 45 minutes I had to go to the bar and ask where it was, food came out 5 minutes later. We decided to have desert but when we went to order we where told there would be an hours wait ☹️ So we didn’t bother. Pub was busy and there may have been an issue in the kitchen, but no one said. ☹️☹️

My parents and I enjoyed 3 wonderful courses here today. A great selection on the menu and very helpful staff :) Will hope to return soon, thank you!

We booked with a view to having a traditional Sunday roast but in mid afternoon were told there were no roast meals left, which was rather disappointing.

Awesome food. Head chef is amazing. Staff are great. The atmosphere is lovely too. Definitely going back. Booked Xmas meal also and possibly will book the staff Xmas party here.

Really nice atmosphere . Good service food could have been better . Had problems with the frier which meant no falafels leaving little choice for vegetarians and swordfish was off and the cod was tiny .

Really good gluten free Sunday lunch. Food was delicious, service was great. Really appreciate eating in a restaurant where I don’t have to worry re cross contamination.

Super Sunday lunch - roast beef with all the trimmings. Service was quick and staff were very friendly and helpful, and keen to ensure your experience was good.

Great for anyone with special dietary requirements. Nice atmosphere. Lovely old building. Food is made on site, not like the stuff you get in chain pubs.

Fantastic food. For those who are gluten and/or dairy free, there's not much option out there, so the Golden Cross outshines most for choice for those with intolerances. The food was very tasty and served in a timely manner.
