Very nice pub, food very good, if I was being picky I would have like more vegetables and a little more choice on the menu but overall very good. Service was excellent, very friendly.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Service despite being very busy was excellent. Friendly staff & good atmosphere. Lots of menu choices besides Sunday roasts all presented with care.

Wonderful service for our group of four people and two dogs. Cider and pork festival week, everyone was happy. Waitress was fabulous and very attentive.

Food was of variable quality. Four items from the menu were unavailable. The gin and tonic was brought out without any gin in it. The staff were pleasant but young.

Excellent food and attentive service - stayed in Corfe Castle for a week and ate in The Greyhound three times! Also, great beer garden with castle views. Would definitely recommend.

Starter was ok but came with toasted baguette instead of flat bread. One main - the gammon special was very good but the other not so. The fish was dosed in salt and the very small portion of mushy peas were cold. Manager apologised and offered a drink on the house (which was also wrong). Dessert was ok ice cream and an espresso. Overall shan't hurry back.

Food was good when it arrived, I had finished my meal by the time my children’s pizzas had arrived. Only half our table was cleared and we had to order our own drinks and desert at the bar as the service was so slow. There were plenty of staff on but the seemed more concerned about there conversation at the bar over there customers!

A varried menu with a good choice of options for vegetarians. Great food and nicely presented. The friendly staff were efficient and welcoming making a good atmosphere.

Our reserved table was ready as we arrived, water was brought to our table without having to ask for it and we were given good time to decide what to order. Our drinks and food both arrived in good time. The food was excellent and the whole experience very enjoyable. We would go back.

We enjoyed great food and excellent service and couldn’t fault anything with this restaurant. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be going back for a return visit soon.

Great food. They coped admirably, even with a loss of power to parts of the building. Hadn’t realised we had to order at the bar, but luckily our table was near it! When shown to the table, would have helped to be told that, but that’s not a criticism, just a helpful tip.

Food was nice but all very busy and very fast felt rushed all night. Tables where we were sitting all very close. Must say food was lovely though

Had a great overnight stop in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly staff and excellent room. One slight negative, that is not the hotels fault, you have to park your car in the public car park which has a chalk based road surface. After a windy night our dark coloured car was almost white and covered with sticky chalk dust, not good for the drive back!

Lovely fresh and vibrant superfood salad with falafels and a great burger with the best onions rings I think we have every had! Very quick service for above standard pub grub! Wouldn’t bother with a pudding though. Banoffee pie had a weird taste and texture and the chocolate brownie was just a huge piece of dry chocolate cake, not at all like a squidgy brownie should be.

A very nice setting overlooking Corfe Castle. The food was mediocre and expensive - dressed crab had been premixed and shells refilled and bulked out with other stuff with strong overpowring lime taste. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. The chips were nice! We would consider returning if we return to Corfe Castle.

Went as expecting a vegan menu, disappointed only one vegan option which was a burger. Burger was over cooked & cheese added although not mentioned in menu, surely that makes it a cheeseburger? Chips undercooked & hard in middle. Very overpriced. Travelled 40 minutes each way to sample vegan menu. Left dusappointed.

We had dinner at the Greyhound in Corfe at the end of August. Our overall experience was very good. The pub is old and inside is cosy with small wooden tables and chairs. The food was very good and included interesting vegetarian options. I had one made with lentils, aubergines, walnuts and apricots, very tasty. My husband had a fish stew, which he enjoyed. The service was friendly and efficient, although perhaps a little rushed at times. I would recommend this pub in the heart of the beautiful Dorset village of Corfe.

We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children and visit Swanage every year due to our family having a holiday home here. We always make a point of going to The Greyhound Inn for dinner at least once as it is our favourite place to eat. Quality of service and food as well as the excellent choice of drinks can not be faulted.

Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. Delicious food. They really know what they are about ,and how to deliver great customer service at this wonderful cosy quirky inn. Can’t think of a nicer place to rest your weary feet on a rainy evening .

Food was good but felt over priced for pub food. Our table was in a room at the back of the pub and due to low ceilings every sound echoed. There was a large family in the room and I accept that the noise generated was unavoidable and acceptable. However, there was music coming out of a speaker which was almost next to our table and this did not help. I feel that the ambiance created by an old inn pub is enough and the music adds nothing to the dining experience. This was our second visit and will return.

Back for more fish and chips. Staff very good with our kids. Table near bar a little cramped this time compared to last week but after an initial rush around 6pm when we arrived it was quiet again by 7. Look forward to returning when we are next in Dorset. The greyhound will remain a favourite.

Lovely meal, very quick service despite being a Sunday lunch! The Greyhound Twix is a lovely desert, but perhaps one to share as it’s very sweet! All in all, a great meal with great service.

Wasn't sure about booking as some ratings on Trip Advisor were scathing. But the food was so good! Lovely table in the front part of the Inn, service slightly scatty as in some very good, some OK and some slow but never rude and to be honest the food and the general ambience of the place made that rather unimportant in the end. Will definitely return.

Camping near by and booked here for my sons birthday meal. (There was plenty of seating so I wouldn’t say you need to book) The pub is lovely and the outside a great surprise- lots of seating, and outside bar and you can order food outside too. We are inside to get table service and the staff were excellent!!! Food was wonderful! lovely setting and great food - good GF options

The chips were just the best chips ever in the whole world! This was the unanimous verdict of a group of people who eat often and order chips very rarely!

Reserved table already taken so had to sit on cramped table near the bar. Fish and chips ok, but Asia Prawn salad was absolutely bland, no taste whatsoever, very poor value. Nice real ale and pleasant outside area for pre dinner drink. Ran out of ice, but attentive barman found some. Very average meal, but nice pub.
