Nice lockdown easing experience! Another good experience at the pub!
Food was really delicious, service was great. First time back in the pub and didn’t feel weird at all!
Lovely meal, recommend this pub. Great food and atmosphere. Thanks
Brilliant service the first day back out of lockdown. Thanks.
Set up well for covid, great food and excellent service
Always busy but good service from the staff. Nice choice of menu
We were there for dinner while the castle was lit up. The food was alright
Dinner with my mum On Valentine’s Day 🤩 team on site are warm, friendly and great hosts. I’ve been here many times over the years, when on holiday, for beer and food in the garden) never eaten if an evening before. It was a fantastic evening.
Excellent experience apart from the wait for desert menus. We had to ask. As we had a 3.00 pm booking it looked as if we had hit staff break time when it came to deserts. Apart from that. Excellent.
Excellent food, with a broad and interesting menu. Also excellent service and friendly staff.
An excellent experience all round. The pub was quite full, but our (reserved) table was ready when we arrived. There is a main bar area, and a number of small rooms. We were in one of the smaller rooms, and thought that might impact negatively on the service level - but nothing of the sort. The staff were very attentive, and kept checking so see if all was ok, and if we needed anything. There was live music, with a guy playing a guitar and singing blues/jazz style, which was very pleasant. The food itself was excellent (between us, my wife and I had Lamb Koftas, Soup and Pork Belly) - all of which were good portions and well cooked. It was our first visit to the pub, but it certainly won't be our last.
Seafood and chorizo tagliatelle is ro die for, love this place, always a friendly welcome and a nice relaxed atmosphere
Just generally a really nice pub. The building is lovely, food really tasty and staff friendly and accommodating.
The roast was amazing. Really enjoyed it. The chutney was extra yummy
Always great food, love the atmosphere and you definitely can’t beat the location!
Lovely meal. Very patient when we ordered. Very polite friendly staff.
Excellent! Will be coming back again good food and service
We had a lovely evening at The Greyhound . Great atmosphere , staff were efficient and friendly and food excellent . Thank you
Lovely pub, food and service thank you we really enjoyed
We stupidly paid the bill without receiving an itemised printout. After we left we thought how expensive it was. Despite returning three times there was always a problem that prevented them giving us an itemised bill. BEWARE.
Fabulous food, lots on the menu, great staff. Loved it so much we’re going back again, already booked. The rotisserie chicken is divine
Amazing pub with very wonderful homemade food and great staff! Who can’t do enough for you. Been to the greyhound a number of times now and we are never disappointed! We will be back same time next year.
Very pleasant Excellent food sea bass perfectly cooked. Plenty of fresh veg shame I couldn’t eat it all. Service prompt and polite. Thanks Susan
Repeat visitors, good but a bit crowded sometimes. Food excellent
Good food, great service. I would recommend the greyhound to anyone
The pub itself, the food and the team on were lovely, but they were so stretched. One on bar, one on the floor trying to take orders, do drinks for dining, and running food, a mean task when it was quite so busy, and one extra guy who was trying his best to help but guessing he wasn’t front of house team, I hate to be one of those “I work in hospitality” types, I would suggest getting more team in then cutting if it’s quiet, we booked our table via here, but ended up ordering at the bar and received no table service, through no fault of anyone who was working that day.
A very good place to eat, in our favourite place.
Very pleased with surroundings and very good service and food
Food was absolutely fantastic - staff so helpful - this place is just bloody wonderful
Great food, although we missed the pizzas they normally do in the summer.
Very good service, nice surroundings and atmosphere but food was only ok. This was due to the two main course centre pieces we ordered - faggots and lentil burger - being borderline “tough” due to being pre-cooked and left under too much heat before serving. Both had a sort of hard crust that was difficult to cut. Accompanying vegetable etc were very good.
Overall good visit but very disapointed with the calamari starter only 5 pieces and £7.00 also £4.00 for 3 tiny pieces of garlic bread should be ashamed
Great food, weird vibe stared at by a woman when we walked in... I think she may have owned the place, but bit strange... Everything else was great.
Great food - even the dog had his own menu!
Super friendly staff, delicious food and the guy on singing was incredible! The perfect Saturday afternoon
Lovely friendly welcome, fabulous food and great service. What a lovely find
A very good experience. Thanks. Sadly no cakes available today.
Friendly staff with a good sense of humour. Reliably good food.
Lovely pub, good vegan options including a Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding. And really friendly service.
We would definitely choose to visit again if we are in the area
