Staff where friendly and attentive, the food was very good but lacked that bit of imagination you would expect from a Sunday roast. A mix up with the bill unfortunately didn’t help, otherwise an enjoyable experience.
The main meals were below average and as I had a pepper(veg) allergy that I told the waitress about before I ordered my meal came with peppers on who puts peppers in coleslaw! So by the time my meal came back from the kitchen it was very boring then my Nephew opened a ketchup bottle across the table from me it exploded all over him! The waitress was very nice and did her best but when i opened the second bottle of ketchup it also exploded but this time all over my hand and in my eye. The bottles were filled with air and it was no Heinz ketchup either and as my allergy to peppers is very unpleasant i did not have any on my meal Very disappointing night out on my recommendation as my previous meal there was great. The Waitress was the only highlight and offered us a free round of drinks but I will not be back which is a shame as we live in Danbury!

Lovely Sunday lunch at the griffin would definitely recommend best Yorkshire pudding I’ve had in years very friendly service by our waitress food was hot and lovely.
