The Griffins Head

First time here and it was a great experience. Nice comfortable surroundings and really good food.

Great service from Ben the waiter/barman. Very tasty pub food, large portions and very reasonable prices so would recommend.

Food wasn't the same as previous visit. Burnt ciabatta bread, changed to a brioche bun (no other breadcake available, before was a lovely fresh soft breadcake) this bun was dry. The chips were not fresh, they were crinkled and hard suggesting they had been cooked once and redone for this meal.

Huncoat is my home town.. I have lived in Bolton for 18 years but passed visiting family. We had an amazing time...the food is fantastic.. service great very attentive with checking back and fast for drinks and taking our orders even though there were only two staff and it was quite busy. Well done everyone!!!

Having recently moved to the area, this was our 3rd visit to the Griffin's Head as it's in walkable distance from where we live. Today we went for Christmas dinner with all the trimmings which we all enjoyed (other menu options were available). Generous portions and a wide variety of veg. Service was great by friendly staff. Would definitely recommend
