Wonderful food, very generous portions. Excellent service. Will visit again.

Family birthday, even though they have changed their opening times they still accepted our booking. Great food and service. Would have been nice to have a but more Nepalise music. Can the phone either be on silent with visual rather that audio indicators or move the phone. We love the food there and the staff a few minor changes will make all the difference.

Lots of variety, brilliant food, would recommend the garlic duck!

The food here is exceptional...so much better than a standard curry. The meat (we had duck and chicken dishes) was lean and tender. Sauces were non-greasy, vegetables had individual taste and texture. Portions were generous and service efficient and charming...and the bill extremely reasonable. Thankyou

22 of us for a special birthday celebration. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and the food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but due to our large group was totally understandable. I thoroughly recommend this place and I most definitely will return. Thank you.

We were greeted warmly and looked after very well. The food was excellent. Spices and herbs mixed together giving a very different taste to what I’ve had before and every dish was fantastic.

early evening bank holiday Sunday, first to arrive so not easy to judge atmosphere. All I would say is that food was excellent. This is a little gem.

I last had a meal here when it had recently opened (perhaps 3-4 years ago). Which at that time was very good. Now however the food was not particuly great and the restaurant was fairly quiet for a Saturday night. The staff seemed friendly but the rest of the experience let it down. To put it simply, I highly doubt that I would return!

The visit was at the Woodcock Inn Gurkha and was excellent. Good food, attention to detail and very welcoming. Have no hesitation in recommending. We will be visiting again in the not too distant future.

Very good not had a bad meal there only 3 tables being used but then a Sunday night .....noise level was high from the group of men but we sat up the either end which was better ....

You would never know from the outside, how good The Gurkha is on the inside! We had an amazing dinner there last night. It was packed, and they were turning people away. We had luckily booked. The whole experience was 100% great and we will definitely be going back and recommending to others they go. Momos, Onion Bhajis, Chokha and Ghurka Rifle - all not to be missed!! Service was super friendly and efficient too - amazing given how busy they were.

We are regulars to the Gurka. The staff are warm and friendly and the food is exceptional. They don't rush you either which is nice. Always a great experience.

Food was excellent even for my vegan palate! Portions are big and really tasty. Would recommend the spicy nine bean soup for starters and we had to take some of the mains away with us as very filling! Thoroughly recommend.

Despite how busy it was the food was awesome and flavoursome. Fast service and decent prices. Will definitely be coming back for more in the future as the menu is extensive.
