Fantastic carvery, fresh cooked, tasty and plentiful. Friendly and welcoming staff in a beautiful building. Well looked after drinks at the bar and well priced. 2 of our group had meals from the regular menu and the portion sizes were very generous. Loved it.

Good pub food, nothing too adventurous, perfect for mixed group of different generations. Smaller portions of some meals are available. Helpful & friendly staff. Quiet on a sunny Tuesday lunch time, so good for a family catch up.

Nice place, friendly staff. Disappointing food off a very long list of alternative dishes. Steak and ale pie was just a slurry of steak with a puff pastry top added. Not what I call a pie. Pity

Disappointed in the Carvery, veg was over cooked and looked like it had come out of a freezer bag, meat looked dry and as if it had been standing there a while. No ctackling with the pork. Pub is lovely bit please improve your Carvery.

The staff where very friendly and helpful. My meal was lovely and the two males food was lovely but the hunters chicken wasn't that great. But generally it was good.

We had a very nice lunch for Father's Day. The parking was very easy - the table was booked and waiting for us - the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful - the general ambience in the dining room was very pleasant and the food was good value and enjoyable.

All our meals were good. Service was prompt and the food was hot. Prices were reasonable and the surroundings cosy. We used the Heathfield for our wedding reception and will definitely use it again.

everything was spot on, couldn't fault it. the only disappointment was the coffee was weak. Otherwise as I said we could find no fault. We couldn't understand why the place was not more busy. The music was irritating but not loud.

Attractive Inn with Nice food, reasonably priced with good service but lacking a little in atmosphere. Having the fire lit would have helped with the ambience

Lovely roast dinner and excellent puddings. Really good to have a christmassy display to keep the kids happy! Tucked away among new houses - but a beautiful old building.

Strange to find a thatched 15th century inn parked in the middle of a modern housing estate. Excellent good value menu with plenty of choice. Draft beers on offer Speckled hen (5%) and Greene & King IPA (3.6%). Sunday roast was excellent at £9.75 and staff very pleasant and helpful. Altogether a very pleasant experience.
