One of the best roasts I've had in ages. So tasty and loved by all even my husband who is not a roast fan. We also had a range as one beef, one chicken and one veg - all high quality and the gravy made it. Will definitely be back

This was the first time I have eaten at the Holly Tree and it was impressive. I used the Pub years ago for a weekly meet up with chums so this was a very good experience. I normally use the Duke in Wanstead but the service from the kitchen to table has become unacceptable lately. Indeed the food has also taken a knock and the prices appear to have also gone up. Your prices & cost were totally acceptable.

They were very busy when we arrived which was reflected in the service. Staff were polite but didn't ask if we'd been before (we hadnt) so we didn't know you had to order at the bar. No one checked during the meal if food was OK and no desert menu offered when table cleared. Food tasted amazing but was overcooked on the pre cook (chicken/potatoes) and luke warn when brought to the table. Gravy, red cabbage and carrots were all very hot. Meat portions slightly on the small side. 2 x roast, 1 x wine and 1 x soft drink £47.50

Waited 1.5 hours to receive food. Food was ok. Not lovely. Not great. Ok. Zero customer service. I get it, they’re busy on a Sunday. But massively disappointing roast.

We thought we would try somewhere different for Sunday lunch and walked across the flats to get there. We were not disappointed, it was very busy but the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do more to make us at home and look after us. Great food, great vibe and great pub. Definitely recommended.

I booked to meet up with some friends we hadn't seen for some time, the atmosphere was extremely conducive as we were in the adult section, the Holly Tree has a family friendly and dog friendly ethos, and it is great that, whilst agreeing with this accessibility, you can opt to be secluded from the noise of exuberant children. We wanted a Sunday Roast and were not disappointed, we each had a different roast and the food was amazing, I tasted them all and found the Pork roast the best, for my pallet. There is a nice selection of deserts and I firmly recommend the Sticky Toffee pudding, it was divine. Happy Eating.

Ordered wine at bar to have with Sunday lunch but bar had run out of wine glasses - gave us a brandy glass to drink £28 bottle of wine from. Not impressed. Food could be hotter, but tasty.

Lovely, friendly pub with great staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Good food and all areas are spotlessly clean and welcoming. Would highly recommend. Great for families with a large well kept outside seating area.
