The Italian Kitchen

When we were eventually shown to our table the staff were smirking as we went upstairs. Nobody was particularly looking after us. Having checked with the waiter that there were no tentacles on the squid starter, he insisted not, when he collected the plate and asked he didn’t even know what tentacles were! We were bought wine glasses, then waited 15mins for the drinks to arrive. The mozzarella starter was cold and rubbery. Just a real lack of attention and proper service. So much chicken on the pasta you couldn’t get to the pasta underneath. It was all a bit cafe, not much thought or care and catering for tourists. We have been trying various restaurants in Wareham since moving here in March, this was the worst and we won’t be coming back, very disappointed.

All great - unfortunately we were placed by a very noisy table of girls on a birthday night - but that happens! Otherwise we were very happy and will return as we have many times before.

First class Italian restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent cuisine at a good price. Seafood linguini out of this world! Perfect position on the harbour Quay at Wareham. Views of river. Very popular. Book in advance to secure a table.

I am a regular visitor and a meal at the Italian restaurant never disappoints. From attentive service to excellent food, the whole experience was first class.

Friendly and attentive service and all the food was of a very high quality and delicious. Very authentic dishes and a lovely ambience.

As always the Italian kitchen failed to disappoint. Food is of an exceptional quality and the service excellent. Obviously there have been some COVID adaptations like the screens between tables but this did not distract from the atmosphere at all. Excellent value for money. Three courses with two beers £58 which I felt was really good value
