We were a party of four and had a delicious 3 course meal for under a fiver each. We had Dutch friends with us and they were very impressed at the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. We will be back.
Food excellent, staff brilliant, atmosphere relaxed and all at great price. What more could you want? Would we go back - you bet we would.
Daughters 13th birthday she had a lovely time, Nice food and everyone enjoyed themselves, helpful staff. Very reasonable price with special offer, will be coming back.
Excellent service, good quality food, exceptional value for money. Despite the restaurant being very busy the service and food quality were not compromised. Highly recommend.
First of all, the restaurant was a little cold. The staff were very friendly, if not forgetful (some). Two of our meals were fine, however I encountered a new experience. I had ordered a fillet steak well done. The waitress came back after speaking to the chef and asked whether I would like to have the fillet cut into medallions, because it would take too long to cook. I told her that I would just like it done as normal. She came back after speaking to the chef and said that the chef had said that I was going to have to wait 45 minutes for the fillet to be cooked. I reluctantly agreed to have the steak cut. The result was an unappetising, dried out steak. I have had far better from standard supermarket steaks. The waitress offered to take it back, but I said that I would just eat it (I couldn't wait 45 minutes for it to cook, while others were eating). I didn't mention the overcooked chips. This is the second time in succession that I have problems with the steak. I don't think we will return.
We were a party of 8 including 2 vegetarians. We opted for the 3 course happy hour menu and the children HD the the 3 course children's menu. There was loads of choices for each course and the kids really enjoyed making their "DIY" pizzas. The food was gorgeous and the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely go again and would recommend to friends.
Lovely meal and great service. Went for happy hour so fantastic value for money. I had the king prawn bruschetta and seafood medley with chips (gorgeous). My daughter had potato skins and goats cheese pizza, followed by chocolate and hazlenut cheesecake. We chose a Sauvignon Blanc from the wine list which was lovely. Highly recommended.
My husband and I had an excellent experience at The Retro Italian. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, the staff were kind, helpful, very efficient and smiling! The Food was very good and plentiful. Compliments to the chef who managed to create lovely dishes at such good value. We will definitely be returning! 😄
Visited here with my friend for tea at 5.15. It had just opened and in no time the place was heaving with diners. We thoroughly enjoyed our Happy Hour starter and Main meal, but decided not to have a dessert as my friend (who has a really sweet-tooth) found them boring and limited in choice. I have booked here again shortly with my family.
The meal was a taste fest of Italian food and well worth a visit. The staff were friendly and efficient the choice on the menu was not over extensive but there is still enough to choose from so those who have trouble with a large selection its ideal.
