The food was very good in fact was more than good ,it was hot which is always a bonus and we cleared our plates and was very good value, will definitely be eating there again.
2 of really enjoyed the meal the other 2 thought it was ok. I had roast turkey and thought it was great tho a pig in blanket would have made a nice addition. Weather was nice so we were able to sit out in the garden
Good, classic pub food. Would definitely visit again next time we're in the area.
Very pleasant pub. Food was excellent v good service. It was very quiet on a mid week lunchtime.
We had a mid week family dinner everything was very nice.
Ideal for an informal and good value Sunday lunch with friends.
Pleasant staff. Food well presented and very good value. Would certainly revisit.
Enjoyed visit because of company. The I W was fine, although one of the party was not when 2 labradors appeared, which was understandable as she ended up in hospital after being attacked by a dog. We adore dogs so didn’t bother us, but I felt upset for her. Food was fine and piping hot. Pies were good, the others enjoyed their lasagna. Spotted dick was ok but is much better made with suet, the old fashioned way.
Great food and great service. We all had a good time and looking forward to coming back soon
Nice unpretentious food, well prepared with generous portions and overall very good value for money.
Excellent venue in terms of atmosphere, range and quality of food. Very friendly and welcoming to people and gos.
Very enjoyable family lunch...good food and service in a lovely village.
Lovely food and excellent service by all the staff, would recommend to friends, our favourite place to eat out, in a lovely area of the country.
Good no thrills village pub with at least two decent ales on. The range of mains has something for everyone and the desserts are just what one needs on a cold day.
Lovely food, friendly staff and local people. The pop up choir added to the evening and a game of Pool with locals went down well.
We went for Sunday lunch as we’ve been before and can highly recommend it, I can honestly say they do the best Sunday roast, the food is always lots of it, beautifully cooked and always hot and there’s always a friendly atmosphere.. there’s always a good choice of meats and the puddings are gorgeous..I would say to always book a table as the pub gets really busy..
The lovely village location, good range of beers and good value hearty lunch menu, all made for a perfect refreshment stop for our walking group
We had a lovely evening. As a group of 8 we were very pleased with the wide choice on the menu. The food arrived quickly. All beautifully served, good portions and fresh vegetables. The prices were also very reasonable. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Booked table for my sister in law birthday Sunday dinner, one guest was gluten and dairy free intolerant........Could not fault the food....10/10 for the food.......
