Food sounds delicious?
Get a table before they're gone
A fabulous place to eat. The decor is traditional but with a trendy vibe, can imagine this place bustling with an eclectic mix of people on a Friday or Saturday evening. The food choices from the menu is varied and it is all described eloquently, making it very hard to make your choice as every dish seems delicious. We opted for the two course Sunday roast which was served on the plates with a good size portion of beef, roasted potatoes, carrots, parsnips, a large Yorkshire pudding and a very tasty gravy. Then we had separate bowls of cauliflower cheese and leeks with kale and cabbage. It sounds a lot and itwas, though not enough to make you not have room for pudding. We opted for rhubarb crumble which was delicious. Our only gripe is that the crumble was more than piping hot, even the custard sizzled against the surface of the bowl as it was poured over. After waiting for the temperature of the pudding to drop below 'the flow of lava', we tucked in. Mmmm worth the wait. Highly recommend the Kings Head for great food and service.
Tasty food and excellent sized portions, enjoyed the eating area seating although food did take a while to arrive
