Lovely meal, excellent service. We enjoyed the octopus salad to start, very fresh tasted great. Beef cheeks for our mains , excellent, very tasty. A rhubarb and ginger crème brûlée and a cheer plate to finish. Couldn’t fault the food or the service.

Due to mobility issues were on the ground floor. Despite a heater we were all freezing. Staff friendly but a bit slow. Food was very good but experience spoiled by the temperature.

I’m afraid it was entirely affected by cold. We are both over ninety and thus more prone to cold. We mentioned it several times to staff. Though sympathetic there seemed nothing they could do. However when we got up to leave I found that the window on my left, hidden by the curtain edge, was open . Perhaps not as much as one-half inch, but enough to let plenty cold air in. It certainly affected our joyment

Staff was nice and welcoming. My friend was cold and her stake was too fatty. On a good side vegetarian option and cocktails was nice.

Food was nice but sitting in a freezing restaurant for 2 hours was not the experience we had expected. Would not go again or recommend to anyone.

We had a really tasty meal from the Christmas menu for my mum’s significant birthday. The staff were very friendly and attentive, an absolute delight. There was a lovely ambience in the restaurant that made the whole experience memorable. Well done guys, we’ll be back soon. Merry Christmas all!!!

Arrived for start of lunch service, staff were all friendly, bit of a wait from ordering to receiving the meal, however the meal was delicious when it arrived 😊

Beautiful table and spot looking over the river. Staff very attentive. Food delicious, just not enough of it, very small portions. Needed to order sides which then meant our food was cold when they arrived.

The food was lovely, the young girls serving were brilliant and even came out singing happy birthday to my partner while bringing out pudding! Only negative for me was that the place was a bit cold for me. Another heat sourse may be an idea. Apart from that it was great and we'd happily come back. The food was gorgeous, the service spot on & the view awesome. I especially loved the crab, creamed savoy & cranachan. I chose the wrong wine - the Spanish house wine was not all that, but my fault!

The staff were lovely and the food was very good but it was so slow, we were booked and arrived at 7.30 , starters arrived 8 and then main courses arrived an hour later. Haven’t been for a long time and sadly won’t return any time soon 🥲

The food, wine, setting, and attention to my GF restriction were all wonderful. The manager/owner was really cool and the GF bread was delicious as well. The only odd thing was that when we ordered a bottle of wine, our server asked us if we wanted a bottle each (there were only the two of us) which we thought was hilarious, but I think she really sincerely meant it. We opted to just order the one bottle. We very much enjoyed the menu and the modern aesthetic of the restaurant.

The food and the service were great and we really enjoyed the meal! The Ham Hock starter was one of the best that I have had and the Pork 'special' was excellent, but could have included mashed potato within the price, to balance the richness of the rest of the meal. Overall, the experience was excellent and we will be back!

Everything was very nice but to be perfectly honest ( and this reflects on most restaurants in these times) the prices are just so high now that it seems wrong to be spending that much just on a meal out. We won’t be doing it again for a long time. would rather get good quality take -away and eat at home. Sorry, I do realise that times are hard for restaurants, but I’m sure we’re not the only ones to balk at current prices.

Supermarket microwave meals masquerading as “excellent Scottish produce’. The gnocchi was literally the same gnocchi you pay £1 in the shops. Mushroom sauce was mostly mushroom stems. Dessert was nice but was actually from the patisserie next door (O’Delice, you can just go there and get it for a third of the price). £5.25 for a couple of slices of bread that you can can buy from The Bakery (it’s about £4 for a whole loaf). Used to have venison or steak offerings but are no longer on the menu, I’m assuming that’s because you can’t microwave either of those options. Used to be a great place but your better off getting a similar level of food from the Wetherspoons for a much fairer price.

Exceptional food and service. Couldn’t have asked for more. Shania went above and beyond to accommodate. Hand on heart one of the best dining experiences I’ve experienced.

Kitchen was apparently understaffed, so service was painfully slow. Both my and my partner's main courses were overdone and poor overall. Have been to this restaurant several times before but may not go again.
