Booked dinner for 4 prior to concert. Time constraint meant we could only have one course. That was so delicious we wished we had booked in earlier to take full advantage. Will come another time when timing not an issue.

We had a gorgeous meal, the service was excellent, food amazing, lovely friendly helpful staff, nothing is too much bother. The view over the river you cannot get better. We will be back soon.

Well presented dishes, beautifully executed. Was delighted to find venison on the menu.

Pork belly starter was a real standout. My miso halibut was fantastic but hard to eat. (Very large sized cuts of veggies in a soup format) Service was phenomenal. Would absolutely recommend for a unique meal in Inverness.

Great, friendly front of house staff. Limited menu choices for starter and main courses. 2 fish options, 2 vegetarian options or venison only!! I would like to see a wider variety of options on the menu before we return. Beautiful setting.

I asked this group of 6 if they enjoyed their meal and their response was muted. They said it was okay but the menu was very limited and the food they chose was just 'okay'. This response is very similar to that of a group that visited with myself two weeks ago 5 persons without reservation. We all had the Mushroom and gnocchi broth as a main course and I was extremely disappointed with that as a main course. If anything it was nothing more than a very watery soup / starter with only four little pieces of gnocchi and some little mushrooms. The only saving grace was the position of the tables and the view from restaurant. So altogether a very poor experience and I will not be recommending the Kitchen to further customers.

The menu was original and well executed. Service was great, but to be told as you’re being seated at 7.30 that you have the table for 2 hours, seems unwelcoming, and as it turns out, completely unnecessary since they were clearing up as we left just after 9.30

We were on floor 2, by the open window with a table of Americans beside us. Not quiet... The food was very good. The only suggestion I could make was that the sauce with linguine and hot smoked salmon could have had some double cream (or similar) added as it was a tad dry. I would love to come again if/when back in Inverness.

Overrated & dissapointed. 40mins just waiting for food. Then the food was not… well cooked? Slow cooked Lamb… They say… But chewy & tasteless? At least for me… Not a good experience… :(. It took me time to decide about what to order because nothing in the menu seemed to be tempting enough. I was about leaving… I expected much more from this place (about food). Good things: Service was very kind. And the environment, the views,… Very nice place at least.

Lovely window table with view over River Ness. Both had great meal, could not fault it and staff really attentive.

Have been here on numerous occasions over the years. This was by far the poorest food and service we have received in this retaurant. Pollock gougons were dark coloured and obviously overcooked. The salmon linguini was dry. Service was slow. Don't think we will be back for a while.

There were some issues although overall I do not think they would stop me visiting again as I suspect they both may have been due to a degree of understaffing or inexperienced staff. Two biggest issues were with the wait time for main course (around an hour from the starter) and that one of the main dishes was just not quite right (monkfish was slightly overcooked, poached egg was way overcooked with a solid yolk, and clam risotto has no evidence of clams and was slightly undercooked with a chalkiness to the rice with none of usual unctuousness/creaminess you would expect from risotto. (I would have complined on night but had already waited so long and had theatre performance to get to so did not). The gentleman who appeared to be the manager on the day of our visit seemed to have a good handle on things but our young waiter appeared very hurried and did not take the time to acknowledge/ apolgise or explain our very long wait for main courses which always helps. One main dish was from the a la carte menu while my two dinner companions had chosen from the early evening menu. It may have been that choosing from the a la carte was always going to result in a longer wait for its arrival but if so we should have been alerted and may have chosed differently. There were no issues with the one starter, two main courses and two desserts from the eary evening menu. The cocktails and wine were also very good.
