About The Mahaan
John Farnham is to Australian pop music as The Mahaan is to Indian restaurants in Farnham. Housed in delightful Georgian premises on the town centre’s East Street, The Mahaan’s infamy among local spiceheads is all down to the specialist chefs working hard in the kitchen to bring the flavours of the subcontinent alive for each and every diner, in each and every dish. The Mahaan uses lean meat and fresh vegetables sourced locally, and the spice blends and culinary expertise that comes with years of experience creating Indian cuisine. Although the restaurant can fit up to 80 people – making it great for functions and private dining parties – an advance reservation is recommended.

The food was very well presented in good sized portions, and was extremely tasty. The service was very friendly. They were not overbearing, but attentive, and the timing was about right. Will definitely go back!
Will definitely go back to the Mahaan, Amazing food, fantastic service, attentive staff, and such good prices too. I'm impressed to say the least 😁
The food was excellent, very fresh. The service was good. We were served quickly and we didn't have to wait long for the food either.
Great food as always, lovely restaurant, pleasant waiter but unfortunely one of them seemed very blunt and a bit rude. Won't effect us coming back though, great price, great meal
Staff were so bored the experience was spoilt. No interaction or pleasantries. Almost rude in the offhand level of service. We were the only customer in at 7:30pm and the two waiters showed no pleasure in our arrival. Very poor.
