Well on arrival it was nice to be taken to our table even though I was a little early and happy with Covid arrangements. I had wanted to have a Sunday roast as a birthday treat but after 25 mins of waiting for my order to be taken we were told that roasts had sold out, so a little gutted but it was handled well. We ordered pie and chips and it was really good, I hadn’t expected much but I was amazed. Great portion size and great quality, I went on the busy Sunday before Christmas and though it was busy service from staff was professional and really exceptional, well done all as others would have gone under the stress but it was a pleasure. Plan to go back to get a Sunday roast ASAP hopefully next time they won’t sell out

I've really grown to love visiting The Malthouse and it was so lovely to return again last night. The food, drink and service was fab as always. Great Covid measures in place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Malthouse to friends and family. I can safely say I don't think we've ever had a restaurant all to ourselves ever! I do hope numbers through the doors start to pick up to bring the atmosphere back! Looking forward to another visit in the not too distant future.

Already booked a table but had to wait 20 minutes until one was ready. Service extremely poor, long waiting times for orders to be taken and drinks served, mistakes made with diners bills. Food good overall. Waiting staff rushed and most tables had some problem or other with their visit. Tables wiped but seats were not cleaned in between customers, no checks made whether customers had used the hand sanitiser station on entry. Spoke to other diners who, like us, had visited previously but will not be going again. Customer service has been sacrificed to cram more people in than the venue can currently cope with.

Really nice pub and staff who were great but food not so great on this occasion... Starter was nice but mains not so. I had the special burger and the burger was very very chewey which you only get with poor quality burgers and at £14 it should have been much nicer. My partner had fish and whilst the fish itself was nice the batter had a lot of grease. Staff and service was great tho and their COVID processes and cleaning were spot on just not the mains on this visit.

I’m a regular to The Malthouse and often go as and when I came for drinks or for a meal. Staff are always very helpful and welcoming. Great atmosphere as well. One of the best pubs in ironbridge.

Service was slow and some of the food was inedible. Deep frying a vegetarian burger and service it on a hot plate making the coleslaw limp and just nasty. Very disappointed as we have been before and have had lovely food.

Lovely staff, very attentive and a really great overall service

After a lovely pre Eat Out to Help Out visit was so disappointed. Previously hand cut chips and fab onion rings now frozen mass produced. Staff still lovely but food nothing special. Wrote this off to a Monday dip, came following week, no better, cancelled future bookings

The service and food were avarage..my chicken curry was luke warm and the Mexican rice was less than fresh.

A family meal out. Most enjoyable with welcoming helpful staff and excellent quality food.

We really enjoyed our meal, had a lovely seat by the window with plenty of socially distance space. Due to the eat in to help out the place had been busy all day, the more senior members of staff marshalled their younger members excellently. I could not believe how hard they all worked, they are a credit to themselves. Would totally recommend.

Excellent adherence to cv19 guidelines, lovely staff. Service a teeny bit slow but was a sunny Friday evening so fair enough. Food fabulous, plentiful and delicious. Will certainly revisit.

Reasonably busy so longer wait for service unfortunately but ok

Our food was good, hot and served within a good time of ordering. However post taking our food order, our service was poor and our bill was incorrect , by an notable amount, when highlighted we were “questioned over” the bill. That part of the evening ruined our overall enjoyment of our visit to The Malthouse. Due to that, we will not go back for food again.

Food was awful! Used to be really good. Wine choice limited and no cooler provided. Onion rings under cooked and greasy. Chicken burgers tasted awful.... coffee undrinkable! Awful!

Shown to the table and greeted very well. Before we had even sat down we were asked what we would like to drink. Drinks were delivered quite quickly. We waited patiently for over 10 minutes for our order to be taken. My husband eventually had to ask the waitress to come and take the order. She told him she thought somebody else had taken it! When ordering taking into account it is after 2pm Sunday lunchtime my husband asked what the soup of the day was. The waitress had to go and check. Starters were all delivered quite soon. We had to ask to order some wine. We were not offered any. Main courses all very nice. The food is a very good standard. I do think some staff training is maybe overdue for some of your team. We will return and hopefully may find improvement with the service.

The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent and the room was warm and very comfortable altogether a perfect hotel

Visited New Year’s Eve for a meal. Appalling is all I can say. A chorizo starter was even burnt chicken wings microwaved so advised my friend not to eat them. We were given a whopping £2 off Def will not be visiting for food again.
