Excellent Sunday menu with a good choice. Good value for money : cosy, friendly atmosphere where you don’t feel rushed. Easy to book on line.

As usual the service and the food was first class. It was busy due to New Year’s Eve but that didn’t retract from the great service. Great atmosphere

Lovely food and the service was great. The roast beef dinner was delicious. Nice atmosphere at Christmas time. Local to us so often eat and drink here :)

Service was very slow .We waited almost 1 hour for our meal . We were not shown the Xmas menu and only saw it when paying the bill . Part of our meal was burnt. Will not be returning

Had a great night at the malthouse. Food drink and music really good. Great little pub qwerky little room where live music is played. Hope to return next year.

Spent a lovely evening at the Malthouse in November. Staff really friendly and James the chef trying out a delicious new menu including some Japanese Ramen and sushi dishes which are highly recommended. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food and service (extra, new) staff were on hand when needed. No waiting👍Cocktails need improvement but selection of wines and beers were plentiful. The live music was next door (not in restaurant) which was worth a visit. Will come again 👍

a wonderful Sunday lunch.. just wish they had a car park. the menu changes slightly every week with the fresh seasonal produce, and I love that the chef's work with local producers as much as possible.

Stayed in The Penthouse Suite - very nice. Disappointed with the restaurant though - all the old quirky character had gone and its now very plain, almost to the point that it looks like its in the process of being decorated.

Got to restaurant and they had double booked our table , so we had to be seated at another table, which wasn't very good as I had specifically asked for this table. We also had to wait for half an hour for the alternative table to become empty

The place is very nice and clean, the service was just OK as the 2 waitresses were not rude but not really smiling and would need training (did not offer the menu, my partner had to get up to get a steak knife for his steak..), eventually the manager was professional and friendly and the food was really good :)

Absolutely amazing food!!! The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to our next visit and filling up on fabulous fare. Thank you 😊😊

Lacked Atmosphere. Menu was not great and food when srrived was average. We were told the wine list had not yet been printed though the refit was in Febuary .. One plste had a chip on, !! we order Processco and had to ask for flutes as wine glasses brought to the table and were told that they had been busy earlier in the day though they did .. eventually found a couple. Loved the place before the re-fit. We will not look to return .

First class service, excellent food and a superb ambience. Staff both helpful and friendly. Decor pleasant and very clean. Well worth a visit you will enjoy it.

Excellent choice on the menu. Food was served quickly and was excellent quality. The service was friendly but not intrusive. The bar next to the restaurant had good live music later in the evening

No hand cut chips wasn't told they ran out frys instead peas not mushy 2 hours to wait for food and very disappointed when eventually arrived gave me a 50 % discount was handled very well

Service was good considering how busy the staff where, they tried there best to keep us happy. Food on a whole was ok, two of the steaks ordered weren't as requested. Good evening, just a little understaffed.
